The longevity is decent, lasting about 3 hours before fading. I adore this fragrance so much that I even sprayed it in my room like an air freshener and kept sniffing it. I used this one and Arabesque Wood the most! There weren't any major downsides... Maybe that the lingering scent is so sweet that it can become overwhelming if you keep smelling it? (I'm not particularly fond of very sweet fragrances)
