It's excellent for daily exfoliation and refining skin texture. Works even better in summer. The only downside is it's often out of stock, so I have to buy two bottles at a time. I'm very satisfied and currently on my fourth bottle. The packaging is a bit inconvenient. When it's about half empty, it becomes slightly challenging to dispense the product. It would be great if they could improve this. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 5, 2019
I have dry skin that's prone to dead skin cells, and no matter what product I used, I always had flaky cheeks. But this product has been a game-changer for me. It's truly transformed my skin - my cheeks are now completely free of dead skin cells! The opening of the tube is a bit small, making it difficult to squeeze out the cleanser. I've found a great technique: I slightly dampen a cotton pad, squeeze some cleanser onto it, and use that for cleansing my face. It works wonders now! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 11, 2017
You can use this as a foam cleanser and scrub without any worries. The scrub particles are on the smaller side and not irritating. It's said to be suitable for daily use, but for sensitive skin, using it every day might be a bit much; I found using it every other day works well! After use, your skin definitely feels soft and smooth. While it's not a dedicated scrub and won't dramatically remove dead skin cells, it's noticeably different from just cleansing! Highly recommended!! The opening is inconvenient. For a product with particles, the narrow opening means the contents can harden and easily clog the opening. It was my mistake, but... In my eagerness to remove dead skin cells, I rubbed too hard and for too long. During the scrubbing, it didn't feel irritating at all, but after rinsing, my skin was red and the blood vessels around my nose were dilated. Even though it's not irritating, don't overdo it by scrubbing too hard or for too long! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 29, 2016
While some people find it too harsh for daily cleansing, probably because of the scrub particles, I actually love that about it! It's perfect for daily dead skin cell removal. After removing my makeup with Philosophy Purity, I use this for my second cleanse, and it leaves my skin feeling incredibly clean and refreshed. My complexion becomes so soft and smooth, it's amazing! There's not really anything to complain about, except for the price. Even buying it directly from overseas, it was still quite expensive. For best results, massage it onto dry skin first, then add a bit of water and massage again. You'll see white foam appear, giving you that satisfying cleansing foam experience. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 21, 2016
You don't need to exfoliate separately as it maintains your skin pretty well. After cleansing, your skin feels incredibly fresh without excessive tightness. I've been using it for three years now, and whenever I try other products, I feel uncomfortable. It's game over if water gets in. The small granules dissolve and soften when they come in contact with water. When water got in, I found it didn't exfoliate effectively. When I used the large size and kept it in the shower, water easily seeped in. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 20, 2016
- Compared to other exfoliators, this one is much gentler! The particles aren't too large, so it's less irritating, which I love. As you can see from the ingredients, there's nothing harmful, so you can use it with confidence. - When my skin suddenly became flaky during the change of seasons, I bought this product and it effectively removes dead skin cells. You'll see great results! It's so effective that I think I'll stick to using only this product from now on! - It lathers well, which reduces friction between the particles and your skin. - There aren't many downsides, but if I had to pick one, the scent is a bit odd. It's almost unscented, but... I wish it had a nicer fragrance. - After using it for over 3 months, either the particles dissolved or disappeared because I didn't shake it enough. Now I'm left with just the liquid cleanser. While the liquid cleanser is still gentle and I continue to use it, I miss the exfoliating particles. That's why I'm deducting a star. Remember to shake well before use! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 14, 2015
While using it, I feel there might be some physical exfoliation that could potentially have a negative impact, but I haven't experienced any blemishes and it seems to do its job well. Best of all, I love that it comes in a large size. The scent is almost fragrance-free. It stings ever so slightly. Don't use it too often. Think of it as a replacement for peeling, maybe use it just twice a week. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 25, 2015
My skin was always troubled by dead skin cells due to dryness, but this peeling gel is gentle and effectively removes them! It has a pleasant rice scent too. The next day, my face looks radiant. Although it's a facial wash, it seems to work much better than most peeling products. While it's marketed for daily use, I feel the peeling effect might be too strong for everyday application and could potentially cause irritation. Using it twice a week seems more appropriate. It's great to use any leftover product on your body as well. - in********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 4, 2015
After washing your face and removing excess moisture, just wet your hands slightly and gently massage in circular motions. It's great for exfoliating dead skin cells! For a physical exfoliant, it's less irritating than most because the granules dissolve with water. The downside seems to be that Philosophy products aren't easily available in Korea. If you use it with a bit of water, it lathers up while the granules dissolve, allowing for a gentler exfoliation of dead skin cells.
