I was lucky enough to win this product from Hwahae and here's my review after using it! The texture is matte, and although it's a bit lighter than my complexion, it doesn't look like it's floating on my skin, which I really like. In terms of coverage, it conceals small blemishes well, but doesn't fully cover larger ones. I appreciate that it applies smoothly without feeling thick or heavy. Best of all, I didn't experience any breakouts after using it! The downside is that it doesn't cover larger blemishes well, so it's not ideal when you're dealing with more significant skin issues. - sj*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 7, 2021
Hwahae Review: I usually use shade 21, and this foundation matches my skin tone perfectly while applying incredibly thin. As someone with super sensitive skin prone to blemishes after makeup, I was pleasantly surprised that the Stone Brick Foundation didn't cause any breakouts. While it applies thinly, I found the coverage to be a bit lighter than what I'm used to with my regular high-coverage products. The packaging is so adorable, it would be nice to keep a few on hand. - ja*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 5, 2021
Wow... Compared to the He* I was using before, this gives more of a dewy, glass skin effect. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror after applying it! My skin looks like I just had a professional facial treatment. It's absolutely fantastic! I think my house was too dark. After taking the photo, I realized it didn't capture the effect properly. Oh well! - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 4, 2021
The application is smooth and thin, with one pump providing more than enough product. Half a pump should be sufficient to cover the entire face. As it dries, it sets to a matte finish without emphasizing dead skin cells. It has a slight yellow tint but leaves the skin looking radiant. The coverage seems a bit weak. Blemishes and dark spots are still visible. Even applying two layers doesn't conceal imperfections. - so*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 29, 2021
First off, the color has a yellow tinge, but it's a pleasant, non-overwhelming yellow base that feels good to apply. I was worried it might be dry since it's semi-matte, but I could feel the hydration as I applied it. As a result, it didn't flake much, and there was no creasing due to dryness, which was great. I'll need to use it more, but it seems like it'll be a comfortable choice for everyday makeup without any fuss. The downside is that I felt the adherence was somewhat lacking. In this era of mask-wearing, I prefer makeup that really clings to the skin, so that left me a bit unsatisfied. That being said, it's not a formula that transfers heavily onto masks. It seems like it could work well for those with very dry skin to achieve their desired skin look. Make sure to pat and spread it well when applying. For dry skin types, misting your face and then applying could potentially result in a dewy makeup look. - oc*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 26, 2021
This is my first time trying a vegan foundation, and I'm pleasantly surprised! The application and finish were better than I expected. I thought it might be a bit stiff due to its semi-matte finish, but when I pumped it out and applied it to the back of my hand, it felt moisturizing and had a subtle glow while spreading smoothly. It's not overly dewy, but it applies with a hydrated feel and leaves a slightly powdery finish that's incredibly lightweight - like a single, barely-there layer. As someone with oily skin, I found it to be neither too matte nor too drying. While it does apply thinly, I was a bit disappointed with the coverage. On the back of my hand, it seemed to neutralize redness, but on my face, it fell short in concealing blemishes and scars. It's great for a light application that evens out the complexion. For blemishes, you might want to use a concealer... - yk********Combination SkinRecommendedOct 23, 2021
It really brightens up my face! As a first-time foundation user, I was impressed by how smoothly it applies even without a brush. The ingredients are also great, so I feel I can use it frequently without worrying about my skin. The size is as small as a lip tint, so there's barely enough product for 10 applications. - h2*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 22, 2021
First off, I was pleased that this foundation has better ingredients compared to my previous one. If my old foundation had two ingredients to watch out for, well... I'd have to turn a blind eye, wouldn't I? Color: For a shade 21, I initially thought it might be a bit light, but I think that's because it doesn't have that grayish undertone. Once I applied it, it blended naturally into my complexion while brightening my skin tone, which I loved! Application: It doesn't settle into pores or fine lines, and it adheres thinly and evenly, which is great. It has a semi-matte finish, so you might not even need to set it with powder. However, if you have dry skin or during the dry winter months, you'll want to pay extra attention to your skincare routine before applying. Coverage: I have acne-prone skin, and while it doesn't cover deep scars in one go (but honestly, what foundation does?), it does a good job concealing lighter or reddish blemishes. Longevity: Perhaps due to its powder-like finish, it lasts quite a while. Plus, when touching up, it doesn't pill or clump, which is fantastic! As for downsides, I haven't found any significant issues yet, except that it might be a bit drying for some. But that can be easily solved by adjusting your skincare routine or mixing in a bit of facial oil!
