No breakouts at all, and the hydration feels like I just applied something to my skin, nothing more. I have very dry skin and heard it was supposed to be moisturizing, so I tried it. Important skin notes: Combination skin with extremely sensitive areas, oily zones, occasional congestion and irritation, frequent dermatitis flare-ups, redness and broken capillaries from steroid cream use, compromised skin barrier. Products that don't work: centella-heavy formulas, heavy textures, carrot pads, certain cream ingredients, cypress water-based products, tea tree ampoules, excess oils and rich moisturizers, shea butter, orange oil, sage oil, silicones, dimethicone, pore-clogging ingredients. I purchased this after reading positive reviews on Harmony. You can skip this section if you'd like. My skin struggles with severe dermatitis, and I'm dependent on steroid cream to manage it. Every flare-up requires the cream, and while I've tried to reduce usage, cutting back on frequency is the best I can do. My skin barrier is severely compromised and damaged beyond repair. Even areas treated with vascular laser are showing broken capillaries again, and new areas are developing them too. My skin is in really rough condition. Texture and Feel: I was surprised by the emulsion-like consistency, but when applied to my face, it feels clean without any heaviness and absorbs well. The hydration isn't as noticeable as expected, and it doesn't feel overly oily either. I'd recommend it based on texture and feel alone, though pre-application hydration seems necessary. Effectiveness: No adverse reactions occurred, and the lemon peel powder ingredient didn't cause any issues. I didn't notice the dermatitis or breakouts calming down. It's not exceptional, just solid and pleasant, but it has one serious drawback for me. The major downside: pilling is a real problem. This is why I can't use it consistently. I wanted to wear it daily anytime, but I can't even apply it before makeup. It keeps shifting, so I don't want to touch my face at night. Even if I went out bare-faced, I couldn't wear this cream. Even the tiniest amount pills. I didn't test it beforehand and just chose based on ingredients, which was a mistake. For combination skin that's oily, sensitive, and prone to redness, this is honestly the best product out there. The moment you apply it, you feel how lightweight and refreshing it is, and you can really tell your skin is calming down. No breakouts at all, and I absolutely love it. Just keep in mind that during fall and winter it might feel a bit dry, so I'd recommend layering it with a serum or following up with a soothing control cream. Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, nothing else needed. Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing. So good, so good, so good, so good, so good, so good, yes. A staple product for me! It feels so breathable and lightweight, making it perfect for summer application. I wish the packaging were different. For anyone dealing with skin irritation, this is a must-try. I've struggled with irritated skin for years and tested countless creams, but none were perfect. While this isn't 100% flawless either, it's honestly the gentlest and most straightforward formula I've found on the market. For my irritation-prone areas, it's the least irritating cream I've used. My skin is incredibly sensitive, so it's not completely irritation-free, but it's pretty close. I also appreciate that it comes in a pump bottle, so I don't have to worry about air exposure causing oxidation like I do with jars. I can use every last drop without any concerns. It's such a relief to have a clean, hassle-free application! The price for the amount you get is a bit steep. It applies smoothly and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I really appreciated that it has almost no fragrance. I have combination skin and was diagnosed with allergic contact dermatitis. My doctor recommended I wait a week after cleansing with just water before using this product. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I noticed some oiliness building up, and small, slightly inflamed bumps started appearing on my skin. I used Centella 24 Madeca Cream and my face broke out terribly, so I tossed it and headed to Olive Young to grab a new emulsion. The staff member there was really enthusiastic about recommending a product, so I decided to give it a try. I love how lightweight and non-greasy it feels. After using it for 5 days, my skin looks noticeably calmer. The hydration fades a bit after some time, but it's perfect for summer use. It doesn't seem to do much for fine lines though.
