I've been really loving aloe masks lately. However, I found that aloe gels only provide hydration without much moisture retention, and they dry out quickly. I was searching for an alternative when I discovered Le Muse's oxygen gel, which seemed promising, so I decided to give it a try! First off, the scent is quite distinctive. It has apple water in it, so there's this herbal, plant-like aroma to it. I think people will have different opinions about it. It's a gel formula, but unlike aloe gel, it's much thicker and doesn't run down your face, making it really easy to apply generously. With aloe gel, even when I kept it in the fridge, it would flow like water the moment it touched my skin, so I couldn't even mix it with serums. This one has a consistency like a thick pudding, so it spreads beautifully and works wonderfully as a gel mask. It's packed with hydration but doesn't feel dry, and even after it fully sets, I can still feel a lasting moisture barrier. It's like someone took the best qualities of both aloe gel and gel cream and combined them perfectly. As someone with combination skin, this was absolutely perfect for me. I'm definitely going to repurchase once I finish this jar! I've seen some reviews mentioning that it's a bit sticky, but since I always apply a cream on top anyway, it wasn't an issue for me. No matter how hydrating a product is, at the end of the day it's still a gel, so you need to layer a cream on top to prevent moisture loss. That said, if you have very oily skin or deal with excessive oil production, you might actually prefer the lighter, fresher aloe gel instead. If you apply a functional serum first, then layer this oxygen gel generously, and follow up with a sheet mask soaked in water, you get soothing, hydration, and moisture all in one treatment. It's like getting a professional spa mask at home! Just make sure to keep the oxygen gel refrigerated for this method!

Perfect for sensitive and dry skin. Apply after toner, then layer with serum for long-lasting hydration that really stays put. Using too much can feel sticky, so apply a small amount and layer it multiple times for the best results. I use this instead of aloe and it really seems to calm my skin down. My skin tends to have redness overall due to dermatological laser treatments and contact dermatitis, but the Le Mue oxygen gel has such an amazing soothing effect! I finished my first tube and tried other products, but I ended up repurchasing it because nothing else compared. The only thing I wish were different is that there aren't many places where I can buy it. I really hope they don't discontinue this product. When I need quick calming relief, I apply a generous layer of the gel on my face and then place a cotton pad soaked in soothing toner on top. This is my go-to product... I've been using just this for over 5 years. It doesn't irritate my skin and I absolutely love it. Nothing else comes close to this. I've tried so many products before and after finding this one, but I always come back to it. The hydration boost is instant—I mean, it really is like a moisture bomb. My skin is combination and tends toward dryness, but even in winter, this alone is enough for me. The only downside is that it's hard to find. This moisturizer is absolutely packed with hydration, and I haven't experienced any breakouts! There's zero irritation on my skin. It's completely oil-free and delivers exactly the moisture my skin needs without any excess. When I apply too much, it does feel a bit sticky. Also, since it comes in a pump bottle, I wish I could use every last drop at the bottom, but it won't come out—such a waste! You can see there's still quite a bit left in there, and it looks like it should dispense, but it just won't.
