How It Works With My Hair Type - I was using Kundal shampoo before this, and even with that, my hair gets oily within half a day if I wash it two days in a row. I'm sharing this because I think it'll help others reading the comments. When you use oil-control shampoo daily, the cleansing is great, but your hair gets really stiff and rigid. Here's the thing though - even when the formula has good ingredients, you can feel more dryness and tightness while washing. It's so stiff when drying that I lose way more hair during the blow-dry process. For me, Kundal is actually better suited for dry hair types. If I use it two days straight, my hair gets too oily, so I've been alternating - two days of Kundal, then one day of oil-control shampoo. Plus, it's pH-balanced and has received functional recognition from the regulatory authorities, which gives me confidence! -Fragrance I personally love the fresh, forest-like phytoncide scent, and this product delivers exactly that. You could describe it as having a pine needle or herbal aroma! -Packaging When I first received the product, I was delighted by the beautiful design compared to other shampoos. I'm not a fan of rich, nourishing shampoos that leave my hair feeling slippery and overly smooth. (That said, I also dislike shampoos that make my hair so stiff that it's difficult to wash.) I handle my dry hair with treatments and hair essences. Also, I don't use regular drugstore shampoos or perfumed shampoos. I've been using shampoos from brands that promote quality ingredients. So the Cica Shampoo from the Ethem brand was exactly what I needed, and after trying it, it really works wonderfully for me. • Formula The formula has a semi-transparent appearance and isn't too thin, which makes it easy to create a good lather. I love how pretty the bottle looks. • Feel and Performance Among shampoos that highlight quality ingredients, this one produces great lather and has excellent cleansing power. However, it doesn't strip away all the natural oils from my scalp, leaving my hair feeling heavy and weighed down. I've been trying lots of different shampoos lately, and I've noticed that some are too gentle and don't remove the oil buildup from my hair after a couple of days, some have such strong cleansing power that they make my hair stiff and difficult to wash, and some have decent cleansing but leave an unsatisfying finish—my scalp feels oily again as soon as I start blow-drying. This shampoo avoids all these pitfalls. In other words, it's a winner for me! The closest comparison would be Aveda's Rosemary Mint Shampoo in terms of feel. I actually keep Aveda's Rosemary Mint Shampoo on hand for when I want that extra-refreshing cleanse, and I alternate it with my daily shampoos. Even though Aveda's formula isn't the best, I couldn't give up that refreshing feeling, so I've been using it despite my reservations. But now that I've found this alternative, I'm absolutely thrilled! • Scent It has a fresh herbal fragrance. It's not artificial, but it's also not overly natural-smelling—it's just pleasantly aromatic. However, the scent doesn't last very long. But that makes sense, right? For a fragrance to linger, you'd need to add more fragrance compounds, and those aren't good for your scalp. I'd love to see the Ethem brand release a product with a similar feel but longer-lasting fragrance. Especially for people with normal scalps, not just those with problem-prone scalps.
