Just a little bit goes a long way with this rich, luxurious lather. It seems to work wonderfully for oily scalps. After using it, my scalp feels so refreshed and invigorated. Even though I have dry skin, I tend to have oily areas, so this product seemed better suited for oily scalps. I was pleasantly surprised by how much lather this product creates! It actually produces more foam than the basic scalp sea salt version. It rinses away better than sea salt, I guess? I love using this once in a while on my oily scalp. When I apply it once or twice a week to my irritated roots or itchy scalp, my scalp feels refreshed and the itching completely goes away. After about half a day, it starts to smell a bit and feels like it's getting sticky, so I stopped using it after a few tries. I decided to buy this because I was really bothered by dandruff constantly appearing on my scalp. Since I have colored hair, I kept noticing flakes every time I moved my hair, especially in the areas where the color didn't take evenly. I was also concerned about the odor at my roots and had some scalp sensitivity too. I didn't want to use a regular dandruff shampoo because it always makes my hair feel stiff and dry. When I found out I could use this product before shampooing, I knew I had to try it! Using it is simple - I apply it directly to my scalp before shampooing and massage it in thoroughly with my fingers. It doesn't create much lather, but I can really feel it working thanks to the active ingredients. The massage feels effective and thorough. Honestly, my dandruff has reduced so much! I'm not sure about the scalp odor issue, and I can't really tell if the sensitivity improved. But I'm genuinely happy with how much the flaking has decreased. I no longer feel embarrassed or worried when I run my fingers through my hair! Wait, I said it was good, but what about the ingredients? After spending around 3-4 million won on scalp treatments for flaking and hair loss over 9 months with noticeable improvement, I decided to manage my scalp more affordably on my own. I tested practically every exfoliating scalp product at Olive Young and tried various online options before settling on this one. Other exfoliating products left me with itching or flaky buildup under my nails afterward, but this one doesn't have any of those issues and has become my go-to product. I've tried switching to cheaper alternatives about 10 times, but I always come back to this. I think I've gone through over 20 bottles at this point. This scalp treatment really grabs onto those stubborn sebum buildup particles stuck to your roots. No matter how thoroughly I shampoo, I always end up with oily residue clinging to my scalp, but after using this scalp scaler and checking different spots with my fingers, those pesky sebum particles are completely gone. The cleansing power is seriously impressive. I'm almost out and honestly, if I can't find another scalp scaler I like, I'll definitely repurchase this one. That said, it's not absolutely perfect for me. The formula has this thick, concentrated ampoule-like texture, so you really need to squeeze the tube with some force to get the product out. On the flip side, since the formula doesn't drip or run, that could actually be a plus for some people. I don't use it every single day. I apply it whenever I notice my scalp has built up a lot of sebum and oil.
