This liquid formula is so hydrating and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous - I feel happy every time I use it. I'm really satisfied that the scent isn't overpowering either. I found a toner that I really love, so honestly I can't think of any downsides.

Sensitivity: I've experienced zero irritation, redness, or discomfort while using this, so I can apply it with complete confidence. I'm so happy with this product that I honestly can't think of anything I'd want to change.

The only downside is that it's hard to see how much product is left inside just by looking, so I had to feel it through the bottle to get a sense of how full it is. As for the scent, it reminds me of my mom's skincare products from years ago, but without that harsh, overpowering smell from back then. Instead, it has a pleasant, subtle fragrance that I really enjoyed. When I first applied it, it felt more like an essence than a toner, and because it has a bit of thickness to it, it doesn't just run down your face. I have pretty sensitive skin and react badly to a lot of products, even ones labeled as gentle, but thankfully this one didn't irritate my skin at all. Since the product does have a slightly oily feel, I know I won't be able to use a lot of it as someone with oily skin, but if I apply it in thin layers and spread it out carefully, I think it works really well. For me, the only thing that was a bit disappointing was that it felt a little too rich and oily. I think it would work better for people with dry or combination skin types. Other than that, I didn't really have any complaints. As someone with oily skin, I loved that this has the perfect texture between a toner and essence - not too heavy, not too light. It really calmed my skin down, and I noticed my redness and breakouts improved noticeably. If you have oily skin, it's tough to layer anything else on top like a cream or additional products without feeling weighed down. I only use this as part of my nighttime routine, and I apply a generous amount with a cotton pad, then finish with a super lightweight, watery essence formula. For my combination oily and acne-prone skin, this approach works perfectly.

This is the first step product I'm currently using in my skincare routine. It has a lightweight, silky texture that glides on smoothly, absorbs quickly into the skin, and delivers a refreshing cooling sensation. The fast absorption combined with a hydrating feel makes it a winner. If you have dry skin, you might find that the toner's moisturizing benefits don't last as long as you'd hope. This bakuchiol line does have a fairly strong fragrance, though personally I found it quite pleasant. My skin feels incredibly smooth and I can tell it absorbs right away. When it first touches my skin, there's this refreshing sensation that makes me think it'll be great for calming and soothing my complexion. It does feel like it might dry out quickly since it absorbs so fast, but once I layer a serum and apply a generous amount of cream on top, everything works out perfectly. I also love using this as a sheet mask by soaking a cotton pad and applying it generously to my face for an extra boost of hydration.
