This product is genuinely gentle and hydrating - I'm already on my fourth bottle! It does so much more than just soothe; the moisture content is seriously impressive. The formula is fantastic too, so I have no worries using it before makeup. In fact, it gives my skin this beautiful, dewy glow. Honestly, there's nothing I'd change about it. I have really sensitive skin and can't use just anything, but this product is absolutely amazing. I apply it generously before bed, and my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth the next morning. I'd recommend this for oily, acne-prone, and troubled skin. I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, and I'm in my mid-to-late twenties. Because of that, I prefer products with more hydration during seasonal transitions and winter. Since it's currently a transitional season, I found the moisturizing power a bit lacking for my needs. I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin types, though honestly, dry skin doesn't tend to break out as much anyway. That said, I think this will be perfect for summer. During summer, I sweat a lot, and my skin struggles when sweat mixes with makeup and dead skin cells, so it really needs calming and proper hydration. This essence has the level of moisture I love for summer, and it contains ingredients that work beautifully with my skin, so I'm definitely planning to purchase and use it regularly. This feels like a summer-specific essence.
