It's straightforward and gentle—no irritation at all, which made my skin feel really comfortable and happy. I'm honestly not sure about the staying power. It applies smoothly and gives decent coverage right away, but it oxidizes quickly and turns yellow, which isn't ideal for oily or combination skin. I think the thin texture might be the culprit.

I was using a Mamonde product that got discontinued, so I tried several alternatives before finding this one that's just perfect. It's not overly dewy or too matte—it strikes that ideal balance. The color correction is great at neutralizing yellow undertones, and it helps makeup apply beautifully. There are so many tone-up products and trendy options out there these days, but I really hope they never stop making reliable primers like this one. The scent is subtle—it has a light powder fragrance, not the modern cosmetic smell, but that classic vintage makeup scent. The SPF is 50+ PA+++, but I think it would be nice if you could make it gentler with SPF 30 or lower instead. Just one application gives you a natural, subtle brightening effect. It does a wonderful job of toning down any yellow cast. When I use it together with the same brand's BB cream, the coverage becomes incredibly strong—it easily outperforms most full-coverage foundations.

I've been using Pimongshae BB cream regularly, but I noticed it was breaking down and darkening more and more over time. When I looked for something to mix with it, I found that mixing it with a certain brand's makeup primer worked well, but there were lots of reviews about trouble from the ingredients, so I searched for a product with better ingredients and ended up purchasing The Saem. It seems makeup primers in general have questionable ingredients. I probably wouldn't have bought The Saem's pre-reformulation product either because of the ingredient concerns. I was torn between green and lavender, and since many people mix a lot of green primer with Pimongshae BB cream and I have redness, I was going to go with green. But The Saem's lavender was selling much better, so I decided to try that instead. I was drawn to it because people said it naturally corrects skin's yellow undertones so well. I mixed it one-to-one and applied it. I was worried about irritation, but thankfully I'm using it without any sensitivity issues. The moment I mix them, the BB cream color brightens by a shade and the grayish cast is toned down, making my complexion look more radiant and improving the wear time. I think it would work well mixed with other BB creams that have strong gray undertones too. The price feels reasonable for what you get! Plus, I love that it has UV protection. Pimongshae doesn't have sun protection, which was disappointing, but this fills that gap. If you use too much, the color goes beyond the BB shade and becomes too blue-toned, so measuring the right amount is crucial. Because the texture is very thin, it's hard to control the amount. Open the cap and tilt it, and it just pours out. Mixing and applying it every morning was honestly such a hassle. So I started pre-mixing it in a small empty bottle and using that instead. I bought the 'Duckbill mini vacuum foundation bottle' and it works great. The texture is too thin, making it difficult to control the amount. When you tilt it, it just flows right out. I haven't tried using it on its own. If you're mixing it with other products, I'd recommend pre-mixing it in an empty bottle.
