The biggest advantage? The brightening effect is absolutely incredible. As you can see from the photos, I have quite a yellow undertone, so normally when I just apply foundation, I end up looking like someone with yellow skin wearing white makeup on top. But when I use this as a base, the brightening is so dramatic and it's amazing. It basically makes my skin tone look as fair as someone with naturally light skin, you know? When I first apply it, it feels a bit dry, but as time goes on, I don't experience any dryness or dehydration at all. (I'm currently pairing this with a cushion foundation from About Tone Jabin Seoul) The pump opening is really narrow, almost like a serum dispenser, so you don't get a lot of product coming out at once. But there's a reason for that design—even a tiny amount gives you amazing brightening results. It's not completely flawless, but I'd say this is the perfect product if you need serious brightening but find full-coverage tone-up sunscreen too heavy. The price is super affordable on Musinsa, the amount you get should last quite a while, and honestly, if you have yellow undertones, this is a must-try! If you don't prep your base correctly or apply it too heavily, the formula can pill and create a patchy texture. You really need to make sure your base prep is done properly. But if you rush through your base prep, it gets dry. That's why I use just one pump of a hydrating sunscreen or Aesence base prep on the areas that don't blend well, and then layer this product on top. There's a reason they include a spatula with this—it's not just for show. It applies so much more evenly than using your fingers alone, so I really recommend using it. Even a spatula from the dollar store works perfectly fine.
