The pad surface is completely smooth without any textured embossing, and it feels silky and slippery to the touch. I really appreciate this because it means there's so much less friction on my skin compared to other toner pads! As for thickness, if I compare it to those carrot pads I used to cut in half, this one is on the thinner side. But it's not so thin that I feel the need to cut it in half. The thickness feels just right. The container doesn't hold a huge amount of essence, but honestly, I prefer it that way. I'm not a fan of products where the essence drips down your face when you apply it. Even though the essence amount looks modest, my skin feels plenty hydrated when I use it, so there's no issue there. Based on my experience, I use thicker pads with textured surfaces after showering or in the evening since they hold the essence longer. For thinner pads that start drying after 10-15 minutes, I keep them in the fridge and use them quickly before my morning makeup routine. This one falls into that second category! I think there was a sheet mask in the Blue Chamomile line, but I haven't tried it, so I can't compare. What I can tell you is that even though I have acne-prone skin as you can see in the photos, I haven't experienced any irritation from this product. With some other pads I've used, if I leave them on for about 15 minutes, that area turns red. Thankfully, that doesn't happen with this one! I'm using this every single day because it's gentle, doesn't irritate my skin, and I love how soft the pad feels. I'm really satisfied with it! The gel-type sheet minimizes irritation and adheres really well to skin, so I love using it both as an exfoliating toner and as a treatment pack. I absolutely love the cleansing mask, clay mask, and sheet mask - they're all fantastic. The pads are quite thick, which means they don't adhere to the skin as smoothly as I'd like. That was a bit disappointing. At first, I was surprised by how little essence seemed to be on the pad, but I realized the pads are quite thick and really hold the essence well! This means they stay moist throughout the entire treatment. Since I frequently get breakouts on my forehead, I'm careful when choosing pads for exfoliation. These are incredibly gentle - they calm my skin without irritation and deliver real hydration where I need it. Highly recommended! If you want to reduce heat and redness on your face during summer while keeping your skin hydrated and calm, these are perfect for you. The adhesion isn't ideal - the pads don't stick closely to the skin. If you frequently use them as treatment masks, you might find this inconvenient. I also wish there was more essence on the pads. I've been using the Blue Chamomile line for a while and I really love it!
