This retinol product is really gentle and doesn't cause any irritation. I mean, the concentration is pretty low, but that's actually why it works so well for sensitive skin. Besides being mild, I didn't notice any real standout benefits. I had the opportunity to purchase this as a 1+1 deal for my oily or combination-prone skin, so I used two full bottles from July through early October. At first, I used it mainly as an exfoliating toner, but I noticed the calming effect was quite impressive, so from the middle of my usage period, I started using it as both a mask and exfoliating toner together. Thanks to the cica ingredient, it definitely delivered great soothing benefits. The bamboo pads used with the exfoliating toner are gentle and minimize irritation, which really helped protect my skin. It's not sticky at all, and I didn't experience any discomfort with the scent or anything like that. I didn't notice a significant difference in retinol effectiveness. Since the toner's textured side is relatively gentle, the results felt minimal. I didn't really feel that my breakouts decreased noticeably, and people mentioned the pads tear easily—when I tried it, they fell apart and were way too thin. I ended up using two pads at a time for masks and treatments. After about 15 minutes of application, the pads were almost completely dry, and I frequently felt the product lacked enough hydration, so I had to follow up with a hydrating ampoule to add moisture back. Rather than tearing the pads apart as suggested, I'd recommend just using two pads instead. My skin barrier was compromised and I was really struggling, but this product doesn't irritate at all and the hydration is honestly pretty decent It's still too early to say for sure, I need to use it a bit longer to really know. I picked this up at Olive Young for around 8,000 won before, and I'm really happy with how it's working out. I use it as an exfoliating toner in the morning and as a treatment mask at night, which works perfectly for my routine. The effect on acne scars is honestly pretty disappointing, so I don't think I'll be buying it again. I love how soft the pads are and the generous size. I use them as a mask, and they're big enough to cover one cheek completely, which is perfect. When I wipe them off, the texture feels so gentle that I really enjoy using them. After each use, my skin feels hydrated and incredibly smooth. It's a bit disappointing that they can't be split in half. The next morning, those angry blemishes that looked ready to explode had completely calmed down. Even though I have combination skin, I didn't feel any tightness or dryness using just this product.
