I've been using this regularly throughout the summer, especially after working out and showering. No irritation at all, which is great! I really love how refreshing it feels on the skin. That said, it does absorb quite quickly and spreads easily, so I find myself reapplying it once or layering it. I've actually been using a richer essence or ampoule before applying this gel to get better results. I have to say, the ingredient list was a bit surprising for me. The fragrance is also quite strong. If you have dry skin or you're looking to use this outside of summer, I wouldn't recommend it as a substitute for a hydrating moisturizer. It seems to work best as a soothing treatment that you layer on top of other products. Here's how I've been using it: toner, then essence or ampoule with a richer formula or an extra layer, followed by a clarifying mask, and a hydrating cream when needed. The hydration feels really nice and moisturizing. The price point is quite competitive too. One product alone doesn't seem to provide enough coverage. First of all, this mask feels incredibly hydrating and applies beautifully. I have really sensitive, reactive skin, but this product caused absolutely no issues. In fact, I noticed a significant calming effect. Whenever my face gets hot and red, I pop this into the fridge and apply a generous layer—and honestly, within 10 minutes the redness completely subsides! I use it over my Cica Biofida Ampoule, slather on a thick layer of this soothing mask, sleep, and wake up with all the redness gone. The strange thing is, it does get red again after I cleanse, so I wonder if it's a cleanser issue. Anyway, I'm so happy with this that I'm definitely repurchasing. Plus, after finishing one jar, I have an update: I switched my cleanser because I was bothered by the redness returning after washing, and now it doesn't get red anymore! After using up this entire jar, my redness has completely disappeared. My face used to be so red, but now I only have some trouble scars left—the redness is completely gone. While using the Cica Biofida Ampoule, my redness was already improving, but this product works so well with it that I saw a dramatic difference right away. I'm definitely going to keep repurchasing both products consistently. And that initial stinging sensation I felt when first applying it? It's completely gone now! When I first applied it to my face, it stung a bit and I got nervous. But the person who recommended it told me to push through the stinging, apply it once, and sleep on it. So I decided to give it a shot anyway. And the results? Exactly as I described above—I'm completely satisfied! If you frequently get heat and redness on your face or deal with breakouts, try keeping this in the fridge and applying a generous amount. Trust me, it's no joke. It's so hydrating that I'm curious whether I can apply it before makeup, but I haven't tried that yet since I'm not totally sure about it.

Fair warning: it does leave a sticky residue. This is the first time a soothing product has actually caused problems for my skin. I'm dealing with redness and itching. I'm not usually a fan of heavily fragranced products anyway, but the moment I opened this, I thought, "Wait, is this really a soothing treatment?" The scent is overwhelming. Honestly, there are better soothing products out there at lower price points with superior ingredients. If this were marketed as a functional treatment, I might understand, but calling it a soothing product with subpar ingredients is really frustrating. I feel like I got scammed. I bought this specifically because I heard it was great for sensitive and atopic skin, and now I've burned through a third of my actual soothing essence trying to fix the damage. Maybe Coway should stick to what they know best—water purifiers. If you work for a water purifier company, just sell water purifiers.

This isn't suitable for atopic, troubled, or sensitive skin. It's supposed to be a soothing product, but it actually feels irritating and stings. Plus, it doesn't even calm things down the way it should. I honestly can't see much of a difference before and after using it. Honestly, a saline mask worked so much better for calming my skin. I really don't see the point in reaching for this product. *Pro tip! When I applied a generous amount, I loved how it absorbed beautifully into my skin without any stinging or sticky residue. My skin felt nicely hydrated and comfortable. If I rely on this product alone to get enough moisture, I found that I need to use quite a bit more product than expected and really work it in thoroughly for it to absorb properly. Otherwise, my skin doesn't feel as hydrated as I'd like. I use it after prepping my skin with a toner, then apply a lightweight hydrating ampoule or essence to balance my skin's oil and water levels. I dispense just a coin-sized amount and spread it generously across my face. My skin stays nicely moisturized without any irritation, which makes it perfect for summer, though it can feel a bit heavy during winter.
