I originally wanted to use it for dark circles, but lately I've been mixing it with a white sunscreen for a foundation-free makeup look, and I'm really happy with it. The light coverage combined with excellent adherence works beautifully. The fact that one of the 20 cautionary ingredients is included is concerning. Plus, there are two allergenic components in the formula. I initially thought, "Maybe these allergenic ingredients aren't that harmful?" But it turns out limonene and geraniol are oxidative compounds that can trigger irritation and redness on sensitive skin. I've heard these ingredients aren't commonly used anymore, and while I didn't experience immediate irritation, I'm hesitant about repurchasing. This product does a wonderful job of evening out your skin tone naturally. It feels really hydrating when you first apply it, and it sets beautifully onto your skin once it dries. If this had SPF protection, I'd honestly just wear this alone and call it a day. The coverage is a bit lighter than I'd prefer though. Since this is such a moisture-rich formula, it takes a little time to fully set and adhere to your skin. I've found that using a sponge gives better adhesion than applying it with your fingers. Minimal transfer onto masks - This product barely rubs off on your mask, which I love! I tested wearing it instead of foundation and was impressed by how clean my mask stayed. It's perfect for daily wear without feeling heavy on your skin. It feels lighter and more comfortable during warmer months, so I'd especially recommend it for summer use. I have to say the coverage isn't quite as strong as some other products out there, which was a bit disappointing. The adhesion is amazing though - it clings to your skin beautifully and stays put. I apply this before my base makeup, then layer on cushion or powder foundation, and it creates this wonderfully tacky, long-lasting finish that I absolutely recommend! I usually wear shade 21, and it was a perfect match for me. If you check out the swatch photos on my wrist, the second image shows before application and the third shows after. There's subtle coverage, but since this isn't meant to replace foundation, you get that natural, barely-there look. Best of all, it's so moisturizing that when you apply it like an emulsion, there's zero shine or greasiness - it just feels like you've applied a nourishing emulsion! I wish the coverage were a bit higher, and over time it does get a little oily like skin sebum, but since it's so hydrating, I think that's just something you have to accept. Let the emulsion absorb fully into your skin, then gently apply the tone-evening product. After waiting 10 to 15 minutes for it to settle into your skin, apply your cushion or powder foundation. You'll notice a natural, luminous finish with that satisfying, bouncy texture!
