I recently got a trendy wavy perm similar to a hippie style, and the salon actually recommended a foam essence product to me! I did tons of research comparing different options, discovered J-Soup, and the price point seemed reasonable with great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. It really does an amazing job defining and enhancing my curls just like in the photos! The foam formula is surprisingly lightweight while still giving my hair that gorgeous volume and bounce. I'm really happy with it and looking forward to using it regularly. Everything else is great, but the fragrance feels a bit too artificial, if that makes sense? It's so fun to apply this foam like you're spreading mousse! It works much better on towel-dried damp hair than on completely dry hair. My hair is really frizzy and dry from bleaching and regular coloring, but it's noticeably less frizzy now and feels so much more hydrated! My hair went from feeling like a rough straw broom to a softer, smoother version of itself. You do need to shake it over 20 times, which can be a hassle during busy mornings. I'm not sure how long one bottle will last since you're supposed to use about a tennis ball-sized amount each time, so I'm a bit worried it might run out quickly. The fragrance seems to fade pretty fast too. If you have long hair, squeeze out more than a tennis ball-sized amount when using it!
