Pros: The color payoff is amazing, and it's absolutely perfect for cool-toned skin with yellow undertones. It makes my complexion look brighter and more luminous. Cons: When applied alone, it's incredibly drying. Plus, as time goes on, my lips get really irritated, so I have to slather on jojoba oil just to calm down the flaking and peeling. Despite these serious drawbacks, I kept using it because the shade was such a perfect match for me. But recently I read about cheilitis issues, and I realized I was actually experiencing mild symptoms myself. I've decided to stop using it now. In an era with so many color options available, there's really no reason to deal with irritated lips just for one shade, you know? I have to admit though, the color intensity is absolutely stunning, which makes it such a shame. I'd recommend this for cool winter tones, and I'm really satisfied with how well the color shows up and lasts throughout the day There's nothing I dislike about it—everything is great! Light undertone under fluorescent lighting. This shade is much deeper and richer than expected—it's a red with a gorgeous pink undertone. Summer cool tones might find this tricky to wear. The formula doesn't have the strongest staying power, to be honest. I have a cool summer complexion with muted undertones, and this shade is absolutely perfect for me! The trick is to apply it sparingly and blend it out with a soft gradient effect - it looks so beautiful that way. The cap gets dirty really easily because of the material it's made from, which is a bummer. Advantages - Color: This is a toned-down red with a cool winter vibe that reminds me of dark dried roses. It's not overly muted though, so the shade is genuinely beautiful. I personally apply a Wake Make tint as my base all over my lips, then use the Room&N product as a point accent on the inner lips. If you want to wear it solo, I'd suggest using just a tiny amount, dabbing it on your lips with your pinky finger to create an overall color, then adding one more light swipe in the center for a gorgeous layered effect. Just make sure to do a quick lip press at the end so the color doesn't transfer onto your teeth. - Longevity: It leans toward matte. You probably already know what happens when you apply any matte product directly over flaky lips, right? If your lips are in good condition, you're fine, but if not, I really recommend gently prepping your lips with a tiny bit of lip balm first to smooth out any dry patches before applying this. - Ingredients: Just like the Wake Make products, I haven't experienced any issues so far and I'm genuinely very satisfied with this product. Honestly, I really can't find any downsides... but if I had to nitpick, since this is such a matte formula, it can emphasize dry patches. So I'd definitely recommend doing a gentle lip exfoliation first before applying.
