When I use it on its own, the brightening effect is pretty temporary and honestly doesn't give me the results I'm hoping for. I really need to pair it with other products to get that longer-lasting glow, and even then I'm not totally sure if I'm actually getting that tone-up effect I want. The staying power is really weak and it doesn't absorb well into my skin either. After two months of consistent use - my honest review My mom was using a men's tone-up cream that was lying around the house, so I decided to get her own. She's been loving it and using it regularly. The tone-up effect is beautifully natural without any tightness or dryness. I've noticed my overall complexion looks more even and refined with regular use. A little goes a long way with this product, so I'd recommend applying just a small amount. It does have a subtle dewy finish. I tried it today and I can see how it gets brighter and more luminous with each layer I apply, haha! I even tested it on my arm and it was so cool seeing just the side I applied it on turn white and bright, haha! It works fine on its own, but after a little time passes, it seems like it might start to look a bit chalky, so I'd recommend using it with a base and setting spray to really lock in that glow. I actually bought this as a one-product wonder and it's totally a gem, haha! It doesn't make you completely white though - it brightens you in such a natural way that coverage is basically minimal. If you want that effortless, fresh-faced skin look, I seriously recommend this one! The only thing is it can look a bit chalky after application. And as time goes on, the brightening effect seems to fade a little... When using it alone, you might need to reapply it throughout the day. It can feel a bit oily on combination skin. I'd recommend it more for dry skin types. Just keep in mind it doesn't have SPF, so you'll need to apply sunscreen separately. The more layers you build, the more natural it looks. If you apply it, blend it out, add foundation, and set everything with a setting spray, you'll get even better results.
