I was honestly surprised by all the negative reviews saying it hurts to apply, doesn't last, breaks easily, and doesn't blend well. While I do agree that the staying power is a bit weak and it can be fragile, the application itself is incredibly smooth and blends beautifully. I apply this alone under my eyes without any base, and it stays put all day long. Even on overnight trips, I just do a quick touch-up once and it lasts the entire day. I think people who say it fades easily probably have oily eyelids, but if you don't have that issue, it holds up all day. Since it's a powder formula, the color does fade slightly over time, but honestly that's true for any eyeshadow. The portability is fantastic, it's super convenient to apply, and the color payoff is absolutely incredible. Whatever intensity you go for, you get exactly that. If you mess up the application, it's also easy to remove. Last year I was obsessed with the Scented Bouquet shade, but it felt a bit too bright, so this year I've switched to Muted Taupe for a deeper tone. This line is most famous for the Shining Linen shade, but I'm not a fan of the aegyo-sal look with white, so I'm loving the toned-down shades instead. Personally, shade 16 Milky Rose and Muted Taupe look almost identical if you don't look closely, but the pearl finish seems slightly different. Not really anything major. Warm-toned must-have! I have three of these pencils and this one is definitely my most-loved, worn-down favorite - it's absolutely amazing! It's so natural-looking for eyeshadow that it works perfectly for my everyday makeup routine. I used to struggle with eyeshadow because many shimmer products shed powder everywhere, but this one barely sheds at all, so I can apply it cleanly. My makeup lasts longer and I don't have to worry about smudging! The color payoff is instant with just a swipe, so it's super convenient to use on busy mornings without needing a brush. Plus, the size is generous, so I can use it many times over without constantly needing to repurchase. I'm really happy with how long it lasts and the great value for money! Warm-toned recommendation! I have deep undertones leaning toward light undertones, and when I wear cool-toned makeup and apply this, it looks out of place. You'll need a dedicated sharpener because it's difficult to sharpen with a regular one - it's worth buying a special sharpener separately. During humid summer months, the product absorbs moisture and tends to crumble easily, so you need to be careful with storage. Highly recommended for adding shadow under the eyes or in the hollows of your cheeks, or when you want to add a warm flush under your eyes! The color payoff is absolutely stunning, and the shade itself is just gorgeous. When I apply it to my under-eye area, it actually brings out definition I didn't even know I had. If you love bold, eye-catching looks, I seriously recommend this. And when I layer a white highlighter on top, it literally transforms my eyes from flat to dimensional. My main disappointment is how quickly it fades. After just an hour or two, it's basically gone. Since I don't usually do touch-ups throughout the day, I can't justify carrying this around just for that. Honestly, I only reach for it on days when I really want to make an effort with my makeup.

The color is exactly what the name promises. It has a muted, brown-forward tone, but the shimmer keeps it from feeling too dark. Looks incredibly natural. No real complaints here. I picked this up during a buy-one-get-one promotion after reading great reviews about the 1 and 7 shade combo. I loved that it came with a sharpener included! Even when I've accidentally dropped it, there's been no breakage or damage, and it applies beautifully. Since it's a pencil formula, the color payoff is exactly as much pressure as I apply, which means I can keep it looking natural and not overdone. The design is absolutely stunning and so pretty. The pencil format means you get plenty of product and can use every last bit. The shade is perfect for warm undertones. You do need a sharpener to sharpen it, which is a minor inconvenience, but since one comes included, it's not really a dealbreaker. The color payoff is great, but the pigment fades pretty quickly. If you want a more intense look, you'll need to layer it on throughout the day. The rounded cap is annoying because the pencil rolls away and falls on the floor when you set it down while doing your makeup. The shimmer doesn't adhere as well as I'd like. Blending is essential, but when you blend, some of the shimmer particles shift slightly. If you mix this with shade number 10 from the same line, it looks absolutely gorgeous. Applying eyeshadow with a brush is such a hassle, but when I want to do my eyes, I just mix these two together and it's perfect. The shades work beautifully with the mocha-inspired makeup trend that's so popular right now. Here's the real talk though: don't trust the product photos on the official page. When I'm short on time for makeup, just a quick swipe applies so beautifully that I absolutely recommend it! The staying power is solid too, and I'm really impressed with the quality! It's quite stiff, so when I apply it with pressure, it feels a bit uncomfortable. It applies so smoothly and I absolutely love it! The product makes my under-eye area look fuller and more defined, giving my face such a beautiful dimension. If there were no downsides, I'd definitely buy it in every shade available. It breaks way too easily, and I keep losing the cap. I thought the pencil shape would be awkward to use, but it applies so smoothly that it's actually really convenient. The color is absolutely gorgeous too. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone who loves warm autumn tones! If I had to nitpick, I'd say the staying power could be better, and sharpening it is a bit of a hassle.
