The brightening results were impressive, and I really appreciated the effect. That said, the serum has a rich, concentrated color, so if you apply it quickly on your face, it can leave your skin looking quite red. The first photo shows my skin in its natural state. I loved how smoothly this applied, the gentle tingling sensation it gave, and the beautiful packaging and color. I'm not sure if it was the TXA ingredient or the niacinamide that didn't work for my skin, but I developed breakouts after using this. My skin is normally clear, but after using this product once, I had trouble for over a week. The inflammation doesn't look too severe in the photos, but that's because the picture was taken the day right after I used it. Things got progressively worse with inflammatory acne appearing, so I had to use prescription skincare from my dermatologist. Even now, a month later, my skin still hasn't fully recovered. Once it got damaged, it just didn't bounce back the way it used to. If you have sensitive skin, I really recommend checking the ingredient list carefully before using this. I bought it together with a milky toner, but that didn't work for me either, so now I'm applying both products to my elbows instead of my face. If you experience any stinging, I'd suggest using this together with a milky toner or your regular moisturizer! If you have sensitive skin, don't apply it all over your face right away. Since this product contains microbeads, it works best for those with oily or combination skin and hyperpigmentation concerns, rather than those with sensitive skin.
