I use it as a base to just cover blemishes, or I apply a different sunscreen first and use this just on the center of my face for a brightening effect, then finish with cushion - that works great. My neck gets a bit of sun exposure so the shade didn't match at first, but when I apply this brightening sunscreen just on my neck and then use cushion, the tone matches my face perfectly. I'm really happy with how I'm using it now. If you don't prep your skin properly underneath, it tends to look patchy and emphasized. I'd recommend this more for those with oily skin types. I squeeze a small amount onto the back of my hand and add a drop or two of jojoba oil to the product, then blend it together before applying.
