When I applied the mask to my face, it had a yogurt-like consistency and felt incredibly refreshing. After peeling it off, I noticed my skin texture looked noticeably calmer and more refined. This was quite different from the modeling mask I tried at a friend's place. The instructions said to dissolve it in cold water, so I followed that, but when I stirred it in cold water (mineral water at room temperature), it started forming little granules. I ended up spreading it on my face with all those undissolved bits still in there, which was disappointing when I looked in the mirror. I bought this thinking it would be easier than buying loose modeling powder in bulk, but paying more for a failed experience just made me feel worse. Now I'm second-guessing everything: Should I have used tap water instead? Was using mineral water the problem? Would bottled water work? Or does "cold water" mean water that's actually been in the refrigerator? I really wish the instructions had been clearer about what type of water to use. So the problem was that there was too much powder relative to the 50ml of water. Basically, the cup line is just the company's guideline, and I should really just keep adding water until it looks yogurt-like to my eye. Honestly, 50ml of water just isn't enough. The powder doesn't fully dissolve, it gets clumpy, it's hard to spread, and it hardens too quickly. I'm guessing it's because there's quite a bit of vitamin C in it. You definitely need to avoid applying the mask near your eyebrows, forehead hairline, and other hair areas, or you'll end up losing precious hairs. Thin layers don't peel off cleanly, so you end up having to rinse with water or wipe with a wet tissue anyway.
