My skin type: dry and sensitive, breaks out immediately if there's even a hint of excess oil. My skin looks incredibly smooth and poreless, like fine porcelain, and my skin texture has improved dramatically! I've gotten so many compliments about my complexion since using this. I usually wear shade 21, and I do use that shade, but this foundation seems about half a shade lighter than my normal match. While wearing it, I noticed a difference between my face and neck tone, so I ended up applying a brightening cream on my neck to blend it in. First, when I tap the cushion applicator onto my skin, it leaves a lot of indentation marks. When I try to blend those marks out by tapping more, they just appear somewhere else instead. To avoid getting those marks in the first place, I had to wait between applications to let the cushion formula settle and adhere properly to my skin. Since my skin is prone to breakouts with even the slightest bit of excess oil, I was concerned about this cushion. When I use it, it gives such a dewy, glossy finish that oil starts building up pretty quickly, and I occasionally get small bumps or larger blemishes. But honestly, that's just because I should have chosen the matte velvet finish instead of the luminous one, so I don't have any real complaints! Espoir has a makeup primer and makeup setting spray that work amazingly with this cushion foundation! When you use all three together, the wear time doubles, or honestly, it feels like it triples! The foundation barely shifts throughout the day, and using these products together means I need to do touch-ups way less often. I have dry skin, but I'm using this without any tightness or discomfort. It feels really hydrating and has great coverage. I especially love how the cushion has that bouncy, elastic texture! In winter, this is incredibly hydrating and feels amazing to use. Your skin looks radiant and luminous with a beautiful glow. Even if you have dry skin, it feels too heavy and suffocating in summer. It's definitely more of a winter product, and the coverage is noticeably lower compared to velvet finishes.
