I'm absolutely loving this cushion from Extreme Skin! It has a noticeably more matte finish compared to other cushions I've tried. The darkening effect is way too intense... I'd honestly recommend going one shade lighter. By afternoon, my face looked so much darker than expected, it was shocking! The coverage on this is absolutely incredible! It completely hides redness, acne, and acne scars like they were never there. The coverage is seriously top-notch. Honestly, this was way too thick for me. I'm not the best at application, but even so, the texture felt dry and heavy—much thicker than I expected. Since it's a matte cushion with strong coverage, I get why it's like that, but it's still disappointing. As time went on, the pores got clogged something fierce, and it didn't break down beautifully. I had both the full size and refills, and I went through the refills quickly, but I couldn't even finish the original product. It felt wasteful, so I ended up throwing it away. The coverage might be strong, but the application and adhesion aren't smooth—it just feels like you're laying a thick, heavy formula on your skin. Because the application and adhesion aren't great, when it does break down, it settles into your pores in an unflattering way. It really made me realize how many pores I actually have! Some people do love this product, so I'd recommend testing it at a store or looking for reviews from people with similar skin types to yours. The applicator is pretty thick, which makes it tricky to apply to delicate areas with precision, and it's disappointing that you have to buy refills separately. Keep your skincare routine lightweight, use a primer to control excess oil, and then apply this foundation for seriously better adhesion! When I first applied it, it had a matte finish but with just the right amount of luminosity, and the cushion itself offers decent coverage. I didn't notice any significant darkening or oxidation. The price point is really reasonable too. The puff thickness and shape fit perfectly with the cushion. As time goes on, it starts to lift off the skin. When I do touch-ups during the day, I can see the product separating from my face. I think the oil-control formula is such a great product to use. Once I apply powder on top, it becomes incredibly smooth and the cushion texture is just perfect. I loved it so much that I went through about three of them. Plus, the rose shade is absolutely stunning. The pink tone really came through beautifully. If my skin isn't in perfect condition, the product really emphasizes every little imperfection. Because of that, I had to be really diligent with my skincare routine while using it, but honestly, I found it too demanding so I ended up switching to something else. The rose shade is the prettiest one across the entire range, but it was a bit too light for my skin tone, so I needed to use a darkening product to make it work. That was disappointing. But the color itself is truly gorgeous, and that's the only reason I pushed through and used three bottles of it.
