Since I started using it, I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin texture. What's even better is that it's gentle on my skin, so I'm really happy with it. My skin handled it fine since I don't have sensitive skin, but a friend with very reactive skin mentioned she experienced some irritation. I used to avoid most cleansing oils because they'd irritate my skin after use, but this one is incredibly gentle—so mild that even if it gets in my eyes, it doesn't sting at all. Beyond that, the cleansing power is fantastic; it removes mascara and everything else completely. Plus, with other oils and balms, I'd end up doing double or triple cleansing because of that sticky residue, but this one is so clean and thorough that I don't need an extra cleanse afterward. I really liked that this formula doesn't run, so I decided to use it. Since I wanted to tackle blackheads, I picked a gentle option from the Banila Co product line to try first. It definitely didn't irritate my skin, and after going through the emulsifying process and rinsing thoroughly, there was no oily residue left behind, so I didn't need a second cleanse. My skin looked perfectly fine the next day too. Blackheads are seriously tough to deal with. Lately there are so many videos explaining the difference between sebaceous filaments and actual blackheads, and it turns out I have more of the sebaceous filament type. Because of that, I didn't notice any dramatic changes. That said, the dark spots did seem to fade a bit. I've heard that applying Vaseline to your nose like a mask can help fade blackheads, have you heard about that? (I haven't tried it myself since Vaseline isn't specifically designed for blackheads, but...) This is the only product I use! Since I have sensitive skin and my complexion gets irritated whenever I use oils, this is absolutely perfect for me. I've been using it consistently since it first came out. It's really hard to spread once I start applying it, especially during summer when it's hot and becomes even more difficult. This is my go-to product that I use all the time. I love how it removes makeup quickly and effortlessly while being gentle on my skin without any irritation. I honestly can't think of any downsides to this product! I use the Banila Co cleansing balm regularly, and I really love how gentle and soothing the Calming formula is for sensitive skin. What's even better is that despite being so mild, it still does an amazing job at removing makeup and impurities! I wish the Calming line came in a larger size option. This cleanser is really gentle and does a solid job removing makeup. I've noticed it leaves less oily residue on my face compared to the original formula, which I really appreciate. The texture is so smooth and it lifts away makeup beautifully. I'm definitely going to repurchase this. While it's a decent cleanser, it's not super powerful when it comes to removing stubborn products like liquid eyeliner or mascara. Those tend to stick around a bit even after cleansing.
