Most concealers break me out every time I use them, but this one covers my cheeks completely without causing any irritation at all! My redness is really severe, so I used to apply the Innisfree Wide Concealer all over my cheeks like a foundation, but they discontinued it, so I've been searching for a concealer that wouldn't trigger breakouts. I'm finally happy with this one! The Innisfree concealer does a better job neutralizing red tones, but the overall color and finish of the Tarte concealer looks more beautiful to me. I really appreciated that this product comes in 3 different shades, so I could pick the one that matches my skin tone perfectly. I typically wear foundation shade 21, but this is noticeably lighter with a very visible color line where it meets my skin. After wearing it for a while, I noticed the product starts to emphasize dry patches and flakes. The makeup gradually lifts and shifts, making the color mismatch even more obvious. Some concealers tend to clump up and sit heavy on the skin, but this one glides on just like a foundation would. However, it does fade over time, and even with multiple touch-ups, I noticed some flaking. Also, if you have sensitive skin, please be careful and check the ingredients before purchasing. You really need a solid base makeup foundation no matter what look you're going for, otherwise it just sits on top of your skin and looks patchy.

What I really appreciate is that even though the idol cover concealer has that bright, luminous finish you'd expect from a concealer, it also does an amazing job neutralizing redness. You can apply them separately, but I've been blending them together and the results are fantastic. I know many of you use cushion products regularly, but here's the thing: when your face tends to be red or you're trying to cover blemishes, layering too much makeup makes it look heavy and cakey. Plus, when you sweat, the makeup starts to fade, and if you keep reapplying to touch up, it gets thicker and starts clumping in patches. Here's my trick: I squeeze a tiny bit of concealer onto the back of my hand, add a small amount of BB cream, blend them together, and apply. My skin is naturally fair, but I do have some redness, and while the BB cream alone felt a bit dark for me, mixing it with this idol cover concealer is absolutely perfect. The texture is so hydrating while still providing that concealer-level staying power, and since you only need a small amount of BB cream when mixed, it's incredibly efficient. I'm definitely repurchasing this concealer once I finish my current one. I'm recommending this combination because I genuinely think you'll love it too. If you exfoliate regularly, the adhesion is absolutely flawless (I was in a rush this morning and just quickly patted it on my forehead with my fingers before heading to work, but it didn't budge at all.
