It's not overly purple, not too bright, and definitely not too pink—it's just right. There's a subtle warm undertone to it, so warm-toned skin can pull off a sheer layer, though building it up might be tricky. It sets with a matte finish, and while it applies smoothly at first, it dries and sets quickly, so you'll want to blend it out fast with a sponge. I love how it softly blurs texture and pores, and even one layer gives this gorgeous flushed look. I got a bit carried away layering it for drama and ended up looking way too red and dark—honestly, I panicked! Stick with one thin layer, trust me. It has this lovely powdery, matte finish, though I'll admit it gets pretty matte as the day goes on, especially in winter. For a toned-down blush, I actually think matte looks prettier, but the season makes it feel a bit off sometimes. I've heard you can mix it with a lighter shade to create a brighter mauve, but I didn't want to buy another product, so I just blend a drop of foundation into it instead. Here's my trick: when I do my base, I apply less foundation to my cheeks from the start, then when it's time for blush, I mix the foundation with this shade and layer it on—that way I get a slightly brighter, softer mauve with better coverage too. On its own it looks dark, but once applied, it doesn't feel heavy at all—it's atmospheric and natural-looking, at least with one layer! This squeeze blush is so hygienic and I'm really satisfied with how it applies! The color isn't too intense - it gives such a subtle, natural flush that looks amazing.
