I tried a cushion that delivers both hydration and coverage. The Face Shop Inkasting Cushion Mesh Glow [SPF35/PA++] V201 Apricot This shade 21 is bright and luminous. It provides even coverage without any redness, so my base stays intact and looks polished throughout the day. Because it has a mesh-type applicator, I can easily control how much product I use. It applies thinly and adheres beautifully without feeling heavy, making it perfect for worry-free summer wear. The adhesion is excellent, and while it gently controls excess oil, it never looks shiny. Instead, it feels hydrated and silky smooth. It keeps my skin deeply moisturized while delivering natural-looking coverage with a subtle glow. My complexion looks absolutely beautiful with this cushion. No breakouts and I'm satisfied with how it performs. I really have no complaints.

I've been using The Face Shop's Inkasting Foundation as my holy grail for 10 years, so my expectations for the Inkasting Cushion Mesh Glow were really high. But after actually using it, here's what I really think... The color darkened significantly after just 3 hours of wear. Even though I was just indoors without much activity, the base broke down, flaking appeared, and I was honestly shocked when I looked in the mirror. The creasing around my nose got worse and worse as time went on. I didn't use powder, but I never expected it to break down this quickly. By Skin Type (Combination and Oily) Combination skin (me): It felt okay at first, but as time passed, the breakdown was worse than I expected. Oily skin: If you have oily skin, you'll really need to think carefully about the staying power. Because of the luminous cushion formula, there's some transfer, and the staying power feels lacking. As someone who truly loves the Inkasting foundation line, I had such high hopes for this cushion that the disappointment hit harder. While the initial application looked beautiful, as time went on, the breakdown, creasing, and darkening made it honestly difficult for me to recommend. I might try it again in the middle of summer, but I'm not holding my breath. For a Flawless Application Apply in thin layers multiple times to build coverage gradually. Make sure to set problem areas (chin, smile lines, sides of nose, T-zone) with powder to prevent breakdown!

To be completely upfront, I'm 100% ready to repurchase this product. I won this cushion through a survey on another app, but it's honestly the best cushion I've ever tried. I loved it so much that I already added the refill to my cart! I felt confident using it because it has vegan certification and is known to be gentle on skin. My profile: Shade 21, deep undertone, muted (avoiding orange, yellow, high saturation) Skin type: Combination (oily T-zone, dry U-zone with texture, breakouts, redness, visible pores) #V201 Apricot Beige - The shade is perfect for anyone using 20-21. It's a beige that's neither too yellow nor too bright. If I had to describe it, it leans yellow-based, but it still looks fresh and has an ivory glow that works beautifully on both warm and cool undertones. It's probably best for warm undertones though. When applied, it looks slightly less bright than what I saw on the official website. #Texture and Feel - I'd never tried a mesh cushion before, so I was curious. You have to press the puff a few times before the product comes out, which was so cool! When I first used it, the product came out feeling like oil mixed with water and foundation. It wasn't a weird oil though—it felt like a slippery liquid mixed with a watery essence. I was hesitant at first, but when I applied it to my skin, it felt so hydrating! Plus, there's this amazing cooling effect. It felt like applying a hydrating sunscreen with great coverage. The scent is mild and pleasant, like a gentle sunscreen. This is honestly the most hydrating cushion I've ever used! I don't usually apply cushion all the way to my cheeks, but this one doesn't have that heavy, sticky feeling cushions usually have—it's so light and easy to tap on. When you apply it, the surface feels like regular cushion coverage, but inside your skin feels deeply hydrated. People often tell me my skin looks clean after wearing this. I usually apply a tone-up base and sunscreen first, then apply the cushion, so I didn't do a second layer of coverage. That said, since this is a glow cushion, I understand the longevity limitations. Oily skin and dewy cushions are naturally difficult to combine. To improve longevity on oily skin, a setting spray, powder, and second layer are essential. Wearing it together with a matte cushion I usually use improves the longevity. - I didn't notice much darkening. Aside from a slight yellow shift compared to when I first applied it, everything was great. With oily skin, makeup tends to move around, so I can't really tell about darkening. The longevity was excellent on my dry cheeks and chin, but the product wore away significantly around my nose as time passed. It's interesting how the makeup just fades and disappears. When I look in the mirror later, only the nose area has changed color. The coverage is basically nonexistent... I'm really disappointed about that. It just doesn't deliver what I was hoping for. When I layer this cushion as a base and then apply foundation on top, my skin texture looks noticeably smoother and more refined!

The foundation applies so smoothly and comfortably on my skin. When I use a different puff instead of the included one, the coverage blends beautifully and my complexion looks radiant and flawless. Overall, the coverage isn't as strong as I'd hoped. It doesn't completely conceal my pores and dark spots, especially around my nose area. Please, I really recommend using a different puff. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised by how lightweight and hydrating this feels on the skin. The wear time held up really well, and best of all, it breaks down cleanly without any patchy mess. I chose this because I love pink-toned bases, but it has more of a yellow undertone than I expected.
