The texture is so light and airy, it feels like it's barely there when you apply it. Your skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. It applies beautifully and feels moisturizing at first. The moment you put it on, it sets and adheres to your skin perfectly. I'm really happy with everything about it except for the dryness that develops over time. It gets dry as time goes on. I have extremely dry skin and I really dislike that greasy feeling. The Anessa sunscreen has its own distinctive scent, and I actually like it, so that's a plus. As for the formula, it's a milky white color and super lightweight - it literally drips down if you apply it to the back of your hand and tilt it. That makes application really easy. Like other organic sunscreens, it spreads smoothly without any stickiness, though there is a slight oily feel to it. But it absorbs quickly, and once it sets, you get this nice balance of a light oil and a soft, powdery finish. It feels silky to the touch, though my hand does have a subtle glossy appearance. If you don't let it absorb fully before applying makeup, it tends to shift a bit like it's pilling. You really need to make sure your skincare is completely absorbed and set before applying this sunscreen, otherwise it will move around. This product applies beautifully and leaves my skin looking radiant without any greasy shine. I'm really happy with how it performs. It absorbs quickly, so you don't need to rub it in a lot. The lightweight, water-based formula feels so refreshing when applied. Even though it's summer and I'm only using toner underneath, my skin doesn't feel dry at all. I trusted the reviews and bought it anyway—got disappointed again. The brand promised it would hold up against heat and sweat, but there's only so much it can do against a mask. After putting the mask on and taking it off a few times, the product completely wore away from all the contact areas. It's a long-wear formula, so I expected better staying power and adhesion, but it's nothing like the incredible long-wear performance I experienced with this brand over a decade ago. Without the mask, it does seem somewhat resistant to sweat, but once I started exercising with the mask on, the product started fading and smudging white around my chin area. I bought this specifically for sports and outdoor summer activities, and I'm really let down. Plus, it irritates my eyes, leaves a white cast, and feels greasy.
