Vintage Valentine lives up to its name with such a charming, nostalgic aesthetic. It's a beautiful product that works wonderfully when applied with a light hand, and it even doubles as a lovely blush when you want that softer look. I honestly couldn't find any downsides. I highly recommend this as a contouring product! The moment I applied it, it adhered perfectly to my skin and I absolutely loved it! There's barely any powder fallout, and the color payoff is exactly what you see in the pan. I was hesitant because of the price tag, but honestly, it's worth every penny. As a product, it's truly excellent! Based on shade 13, it was a bit too dark to use as a blush. When I applied it to my cheeks, my whole face looked slightly darker than I wanted. If you have a lighter skin tone, I wouldn't recommend buying this as a blush. Since the adhesion and color intensity are both so strong, applying it with your fingers can be too much. I'd definitely recommend using a brush for the best application.

The value for money wasn't quite what I expected from Amelie, and the color turned out to be trickier to work with than I thought.

I tried so many different eyeshadows from Amelie before finally finding this one. I was intimidated by how bold it looked, so I kept passing on it. But then I realized this shade has absolutely no white undertones, which is exactly what works for my skin tone. These days I apply a brightening base, use this for my eyes, and I'm ready to go. I used to really dislike using eyeshadow as a blush and didn't understand why anyone would do it, but this formula actually works that way. It seems like that's why some people use it as a blush. The other Amelie shades have different formulas, by the way, like the Ranunculus and Salmon Glow. This one has minimal fallout and feels noticeably more compact compared to the other shades. Since it gives such a natural flush, I'm now collecting and using only shades in this color family. Please, even if it's limited edition, just release one larger size. I'll definitely buy it. Since this is an eyeshadow, the narrow pan means I need multiple tools to apply it, and sometimes I get a bit of clumping on both my eyes and cheeks. It requires some technique to apply well. On dewy skin, you might experience some clumping. This Amelie shadow has to be one of the prettiest shades in their collection. I love how it applies with such a sheer, transparent finish that isn't too red. It's so versatile - I use it on my under-eye area, all over my lid, and even as a blush. It's become such a go-to for me. Fair warning though - this shadow is more delicate than I expected, so you really need to handle it carefully. This shade is absolutely perfect for adding depth and dimension to your eyes. It's ideal for creating that gorgeous smoky eye look and really makes the outer corner pop beautifully. I've color-corrected the photos to match the actual product almost perfectly! I've received so many compliments from others, and since I was specifically looking for an eyeshadow in this shade, I decided to purchase it. The color payoff is exactly as vibrant as it appears in the photos. Plus, it has this lovely translucent quality to it. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. First of all, the price is higher compared to other eyeshadows, but the color intensity isn't nearly as special as I expected. I remember there was a similar shade called Vintage Valentine in my old Daisy Cosmetics palette, and that one actually looked prettier to me. Also, even when I apply it carefully, sometimes the color deposits all at once, which catches me off guard. What really bothers me is that when I apply it to my crease, over time the reddish tone clumps together and creates an uneven, patchy finish. For the price point, that's really disappointing. Other eyeshadows I've used don't do this. When I apply it to my lower lash line instead of the crease, the clumping doesn't happen, but honestly, unless this were more affordable, I can't really recommend it. I tried applying powder under my eyes first, and the reddish clumping completely disappeared! If you have oily eyelids like me, I'd suggest applying a powder base before your eyeshadow. It seems to make the color last so much longer.
