Physiogel's basic cream is quite rich, so I was worried it might feel too heavy for oily skin. That's why I used their gel cream all summer long, and I'm so glad I did! It's lightweight without feeling insubstantial, which is exactly what I needed. It's a light gel-textured moisturizer that has a similar consistency to Dr. Jart cream, and I really recommend it. The price is a bit of a drawback. I was hesitant about Physiogel cream since it didn't work well for me, so I decided to try their gel-cream formula instead! It's definitely lightweight with almost zero oiliness, which makes it perfect for generous application. It's not intensely hydrating on its own, but I love how it works as a middle layer—I apply an essence first, then layer this gel-cream lightly on top, and finish with a regular cream. This combination is absolutely ideal for summer and transitional seasons! Since it's a gel-cream, I find myself using quite a bit, and it absorbs beautifully without causing any breakouts, so I reach for it constantly! Physiogel is really easy to get your hands on. For the price point, the ingredient list seems pretty solid. No matter how I apply it, the texture feels sticky and it doesn't seem to soothe or calm my skin at all. I won't be buying this again. I have combination skin with oily T-zone and dry cheeks, which has always been a challenge for me. In summer, heavy creams feel suffocating because of the excess oil, and in winter, my skin gets uncomfortably dry from lack of moisture. That's why I decided to try Physiogel DMT Hydro Gel Cream, and I'm so impressed! The texture and first impression caught my attention immediately. When I first dispensed it onto the back of my hand, I saw a clear, transparent gel formula with a subtle luminous quality. When I apply it to my skin, it spreads smoothly and absorbs incredibly fast. Thanks to the gel's naturally lightweight and fluid texture, it doesn't feel sticky even on my T-zone, and right after application, my skin feels like it can breathe! I absolutely love that it leaves my skin feeling hydrated without any lingering fragrance or harsh chemical scent. Plus, on days when my skin is irritated or sensitive, I can feel a real calming effect. My skin doesn't feel tight throughout the day, and it feels like my skin barrier is strengthened. After using it consistently for about two to three weeks, I noticed my skin texture became noticeably smoother and the balance between dryness and shine finally feels right! You really need to watch the amount you use! If you apply too much, it can feel slightly slippery on the surface. This cream is perfect for oily skin during the summer months. Since I tend to have dry patches underneath, I need something with good hydration, and this one hits the sweet spot. While the size is fine, the gel texture makes it feel like I'm using more product than I actually need.

Calming effect: I'm the type whose skin barrier gets compromised in summer, and when I use functional creams, my skin actually gets more irritated. But when I apply this cream generously after cleansing at night and sleep, my skin gets that moisture boost it needs, my barrier becomes stronger, and I genuinely feel a noticeable calming effect! Those with dry skin might find it a bit lacking as a standalone product during winter. It's not quite enough for winter use. I'd recommend saving this one for summer.
