As someone who has tried over 20 cushion compacts, I really appreciated how gentle this one is on my skin. Being a spring soft tone, I loved that the shade isn't too bright or too dark—it's a beautiful ivory color that works perfectly for me. I usually avoid overly pink or ashy tones, and this one nailed the color. The shade is exactly what I was looking for. Cushion compacts typically start breaking down after about 6 hours, which is unavoidable, but this one doesn't crumble messily or look patchy when it does wear. That's a huge plus. My under-nose area and chin tend to break down quickly, and this formula holds up well there too. I'm really satisfied with the performance. The formula is clean and gentle, the coverage is impressive, and overall it's definitely above average. I don't think I'll be switching anytime soon unless something truly exceptional comes along.
Finding a cushion compact I actually liked was tough, so I'd been using powder foundation instead. The adhesion just wasn't quite there for me. I think if you apply the product in small amounts and tap it in gently, it might blend better.
When doing touch-ups, I find that gently blotting with blotting paper first and then reapplying gives a much cleaner, more polished finish.
