This product is easy to use without any hassle, and I love how it feels moisturizing and hydrating on my skin. During winter, I felt the moisturizing power wasn't quite enough, which was disappointing. I only used it in the morning since I apply retinol or vitamin products in the evening, and true to its description for acne-prone skin, it's gentle, soothing, and hydrating. My makeup applies beautifully over it, and it's such a great product for summer use. There's barely anything to complain about, but while the hydration is excellent, the lack of oil content means it might feel a bit lacking in moisture during winter. When I didn't have time to wait for the essence, I just applied my cream right after, but I noticed that applying it smoothly and letting it absorb for about 30 seconds really boosts the essence's effectiveness. It's perfectly fine and does the job. The texture is really lightweight and watery, so it doesn't feel like much is happening on your skin. That said, there's no irritation at all, which is nice. The soothing effect isn't as strong as I'd hoped. I've tried other products from this brand before, and I could really feel them working to calm my skin. With this one though, I didn't notice that same calming benefit.
