I discovered that centella asiatica extract is actually found in expensive skincare products too. I pour it into a mist bottle and spray it throughout the day, and my skin feels incredibly hydrated and appears less wrinkled. Centella has so many beneficial properties, and I find it works best when I cleanse in the morning and then mist it on. It's absolutely wonderful. Since it comes in a liquid bottle format, applying it directly was a bit inconvenient. But once I transferred it to a mist spray bottle, it became so much easier to use. You can either spray it from a mist bottle or mix the centella asiatica extract into your cream or emulsion before applying it. I love how affordable this Daiso facial mist is, so I've been layering it generously on my skin multiple times. Since it's a toner, I just need to make sure I'm getting enough hydration, and honestly, it works so well for that! The scent might not be for everyone. It has kind of a medicinal herbal smell to it. It does get better once you get used to it though. I use exfoliating toner and mist quite a bit. I really loved the houttuynia cordata product I used before, so this time I decided to try centella asiatica instead, and I'm absolutely loving it too. The centella seems to calm and soothe my skin even better. Since it has a flowing, liquid texture, there's no stickiness at all, and my skin feels hydrated and absorbs it quickly. For my mist, I'm mixing the houttuynia cordata and centella products fifty-fifty, and it works great. I'm spritzing it on throughout the day. I was worried about having to use it quickly after opening, but since I'm using it as a mist, I'm getting through it fast. The scent wasn't my favorite at first, but I've gotten used to it and it's growing on me. The downside is that if I use it alone, my skin feels dry. I'm not sure what the positives are. It just doesn't seem to work well for my skin... You get what you pay for. Sure, you can find similar products at budget stores for less, but compared to products with centella asiatica extract, this one really disappointed me. Just because it says centella leaf water doesn't mean it has the same active ingredients as a true centella extract. When I applied it, I felt an immediate stinging and irritating sensation. After a few gentle taps, it sets cleanly and refreshingly without any tacky feeling. ― It's gentle and non-irritating, so when my skin feels reactive or compromised, a light application really helps calm it down. I love that it reduces redness without any stinging sensation. ― It's almost too lightweight. While the fast absorption is great, moisture evaporates just as quickly. It's not ideal if you're looking for serious hydration. I've always had great results with centella asiatica, and I absolutely love the ingredient, so this toner works amazingly for me too! It's perfect to use as a mist, and I love how I can layer the centella toner, centella essence, and centella cream together for a complete routine. The soothing effect is incredible, and centella is truly the best. The value for money is absolutely unbeatable. As for the scent, I'll be honest—at first I thought it smelled a bit off, but after using it regularly, I got used to it and now it's fine. It has a slightly herbal vibe to it, and yeah, the smell was a bit strange at first.
