It has that perfect balance where it doesn't feel heavy or greasy, yet provides just enough nourishment. I really dislike products that feel suffocating or overly drying, and this one hits that sweet spot of hydration and oil balance that I'm always looking for. It feels like the perfect finishing layer after applying hydrating serums or vitamin essences. I'd strongly recommend this to anyone wanting to achieve a lightweight, balanced complexion. Plump and radiant skin I've been using this cream paired with a vitamin essence, and my skin feels so smooth and bouncy. I'm not sure if it's this product's specific benefits, but I love this combination. Plus, my regular routine includes an orange vitamin C serum followed by this cream, and I do a vitamin C pad treatment twice a week. On days when my skin feels particularly parched, I'll sometimes apply an aloe gel first before the serum. Not a popular product I've been using the 23 Years Old cream for almost a decade, and unfortunately, the products I choose tend to be underrated - three of them have been discontinued. This one has better ingredients than those previous three and works better for my skin, but I'm constantly worried it might meet the same fate. Plus, it's not sold at major retailers, and I can't buy it in-store, so I always have to order online in advance. Can cause congestion I think it might be the shea butter, but if you apply too much (especially in hot summer weather), it can cause breakouts. However, my skin texture generally stays in great condition, and if I control the amount and warm it up on the back of my hand before applying, it doesn't cause major issues. I don't think it's worth switching products over, since breakouts can happen with other products too depending on skin condition, and my skin has never looked better than when using this. Interestingly, I rarely experienced congestion during winter. If shea butter doesn't work for your skin, be cautious! Doesn't address deep dehydration It doesn't tackle deep dehydration and feels more like a thin protective layer rather than providing lasting moisture, so I always apply an essence or aloe gel first. Compared to Dr. Jart's Pore Zero Cream, this feels much less occlusive. Some people might still feel dryness even after layering essences underneath. However, Dr. Jart's feels too heavy for year-round use for me, so this product is perfect for all seasons. I've found that keeping a slight hint of dryness actually helps prevent breakouts. I bought it directly from the official website! I didn't even realize they had done a crowdfunding campaign before - I purchased mine straight from their site! I used the same brand's Cica Gel for almost 5 years, and when they discontinued it, I switched to another cream. That one got discontinued too, so I ended up trying this one. Once I started using the 23-year-old formula, I noticed that nothing else seemed to work for my skin anymore - it's strange, right? My skin is dry with an oily T-zone and a bit sensitive, but this cream works beautifully for me. The only thing is that this alone doesn't feel hydrating enough, so I layer it with a Toriden serum. Aside from the times I messed up my skin's condition, I haven't really had breakouts - it's been great. What I love most is that before my natural oils kick in, this cream creates a protective barrier so my skin doesn't feel overly oily. Fingers crossed this one doesn't get discontinued! It's not available! Since it contains shea butter, I'm careful not to apply too much. Even though it's summer and I've been eating quite a bit of oily food, the fact that my skin stayed protected without major issues shows that this cream really does maintain a solid balance. - My skin feels incredibly smooth and plump. You can use it as a regular cream, but if you pair it with the toner-cream mask treatment mentioned in the tips below, the results are truly amazing. - It works beautifully with other products in the same line, like the toner and serum. - Without any stickiness, it provides a perfectly balanced protective feeling for my face with no rough edges. - Once I finish using the other creams I impulse-bought during the Olive Young sale, I'm definitely repurchasing this one. Leave it for about 10 to 20 minutes. Then flip it over so the cream side is against your skin and leave it for another 10 minutes. I think most creams from the 23-year-old brand are worth every penny. I absolutely love them. This product is such a favorite that I even pre-ordered it during the Wadiz crowdfunding campaign. I currently own four of them, including the one I'm using now. What I really appreciated was that it delivers retinol-like benefits while being gentle enough to use during the day without any irritation. The rich, bouncy texture is fantastic too. It provides just the right amount of hydration, and the scent is pleasant. It's particularly effective at smoothing out skin texture and refining pores. I honestly don't have any complaints. During extremely dry seasons, I do mix it with a richer, more emollient cream before applying.
