I have really sensitive skin and this product doesn't irritate it at all. It's so gentle and soothing! I've already gone through five of these and I love it so much that I picked up the concealer too. The packaging is extremely fragile - it broke on me three separate times. This is compatible with Espoir Be Velvet refills. The coverage is fantastic too, but what really makes this work for me is the yellow undertone—it blends seamlessly into my skin. The coverage is excellent and the staying power is really impressive. It doesn't break down throughout the day, and it finishes with a beautiful matte look so you don't need powder on top. It applies a bit thick, and when you do touch-ups it can look a little patchy. If you have dry skin, it might feel a bit drying. I absolutely love this! The coverage is amazing, it doesn't feel heavy or cakey at all, and the darkening effect is honestly not that noticeable—which is perfect for me. This cushion is practically flawless for my skin, but I really wish there were more shade options to choose from. 1. Coverage The coverage is honestly just medium to medium-high. The concealer that comes with it is decent enough, nothing to complain about. 2. Shade Compared to other brands, this one definitely runs lighter. I'm a shade 22, but shade 23 works perfectly naturally on me. 3. Texture When I first applied it, it felt dewy with a semi-matte finish that seemed moisturizing. But once I blended it on my skin, it turned out much more matte than expected. Even with a thorough base routine, it does tend to emphasize any blemishes or dry patches. 1. Skin Finish The way it looks on skin isn't that flattering, honestly. Unless you already have flawless skin, I wouldn't recommend it for the finish it gives. 2. Ingredients Since it's formulated with houttuynia cordata, if you're like me and your skin doesn't get along with it, it won't work no matter how gentle it claims to be. My sensitive skin completely rejected it. It honestly feels no different from other products out there. Despite all the hype about how gentle it is, I didn't find that to be true. 3. Shade Range With only shades 21 and 23 available, the shade selection feels way too limited. If you're a shade 22, you're going to have a tough time deciding. Plus, it does run on the lighter side. The undertone leans heavily beige. It's definitely not ivory. If you dislike yellow undertones, I wouldn't recommend this. If you're shade 21 or lighter, go with shade 21. The adhesion and coverage are both excellent, and I especially loved that it doesn't cause that heavy, cakey makeup feeling. The staying power is really solid too, especially when I set it with powder. I grabbed the wrong shade, but when I tried it on my friend, it seemed a bit too light for shade 23 - maybe more like shade 22? The coverage and adherence are really impressive though It's way too bright, so anyone using shade 23 might be caught off guard by it. Other than that, everything else is great. The coverage is excellent, and because it feels so hydrating, it worked wonderfully for my combination skin. The staying power is fantastic too. I'm not sure if it was the formula, an older batch, or just my skin being extra sensitive that day, but my skin really reacted badly to this product. It felt irritated and uncomfortable after using it. I've been using this for almost a year without any issues, so this was completely unexpected and honestly threw me off.
