But this one seemed like it wouldn't be too drying or irritating, so I decided to give it a try. - First of all, I absolutely love the shimmer in this! Right now I'm doing a dewy makeup look where I use powder to set lightly, then bring back the glow with highlighter and a luminous blush. After I spray this, a light dusting of powder creates an even more beautiful shine. - I was worried about the spray not coming out evenly like some people mentioned, but thankfully it sprays really consistently. It's more of a strong mist than a fine fog though, so you do need to spray from a bit further away to get even coverage. - My best tip: after applying makeup, spray this on, let it dry for 1-2 minutes, then spray a tiny bit of setting spray on a beauty sponge and gently press it onto any areas that tend to get shiny or break down. After that, a light powder application gives you a really polished, flawless finish. I really wish they'd reformulate this to have a finer mist spray! Other than that, I don't have any complaints yet. Even though it does feel a bit tacky while it's setting, it doesn't dry down in a way that feels tight or uncomfortable, which is great. Update: I found one thing I wish was different. When I spray it on like I do with other setting sprays, the shimmer makes the finish look too shiny and actually emphasizes texture and pores a bit more than I'd like! So I've found it works better when I spray it onto a beauty sponge first and then apply it that way.

After spraying, if you find the slightly sticky feeling bothersome, just lightly dust some powder over it and you're all set. I actually tested the staying power for 6 hours using pearl eyeshadow, and you can see the difference: the top shows setting spray plus powder, while the bottom is just plain eyeshadow. If I had to mention one downside, it's that you really need to be thorough when cleansing afterward. Pro tip: Don't spray it on immediately after applying makeup. Wait a moment first, then spray. After spraying, let it air dry, then use a clear powder brush to gently apply a thin, even layer of powder. It's not bad at all. I found it interesting that it contains shimmer, and I really enjoyed how it sparkles when applied. There's something subtly satisfying about that shimmery finish. That said, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure about the staying power. When I layered it on, the sparkle became quite intense at the end, which caught me off guard. The scent is also a bit underwhelming. I originally wanted to buy the basic setting spray, but it was out of stock, so I decided to try this one instead. Just so you know, I have oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin. This product definitely has impressive staying power! I was worried about the shimmer pearls making my face look too sparkly, but the shimmer effect is subtle enough that it's barely noticeable. If you're looking for a reasonably priced setting spray that works well, I'd definitely recommend it. The shimmer pearls are a bit annoying because you have to shake the bottle before each use. Also, when you spray it from the bottle, it kind of spits out in an uneven way, almost like it's sputtering. That bottle is basically unusable. So I ended up buying a separate empty spray bottle from the drugstore to transfer it into. I've already thrown away the original bottle.

This makeup setting spray really keeps everything in place perfectly! I absolutely love it. The shimmer particles give such a beautiful glow, and I'm really happy with how it looks. Once it dries, everything feels locked in place exactly how I want it. It doesn't leave that greasy shine either. Plus, as time goes on, the surface becomes really soft and powdery, which is amazing. It's a shame it's not a fine mist spray, but honestly, when I spray it from a distance, it works great. Here's my technique: I spray it before applying my base, then spray again after my base is on, and I tap it in really well with a puff. After that, I do my color makeup. Once everything is set, I shield my eyes and spray from a distance, and the results are fantastic. By the way, I learned from a makeup artist on YouTube that spraying setting spray directly on eyeshadow can actually cause it to smudge or fade, so I make sure to avoid the eye area. I really love this! When I do my makeup and spray this on, it gives such a subtle, gorgeous glow. If you spray it too close, your makeup starts to run and smudge. You definitely need to keep some distance when applying it. When you spray from a distance, the delicate shimmer looks absolutely beautiful as it settles on. I like to give it a gentle dry with a fan afterward for the best finish.
