I have combination skin and it's not sensitive. This product felt amazing because it left my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized. It really tackled my dryness and cleared up blemishes so quickly that I was super impressed! When I use it with a foaming pump bottle from Daiso, the absorption is even better and it feels less irritating, so I think even people with sensitive skin would have a great experience with it. I didn't see dramatic results for breakouts, but it definitely conquered my dryness and I'm really happy with it. Since this has a water-based formula, you really need to use it with a cotton pad. It feels so fresh and clean with absolutely no irritation. It works great for spot treatments too, and I love how it applies smoothly without any sticky residue! Because it's a water-based formula, I do find myself going through it pretty quickly, which feels wasteful. I understand how crucial this initial toner step is for the rest of my skincare routine to work effectively. I really don't like toners that absorb too quickly like plain water. I was searching for a toner that could address my skin's dryness after cleansing while also helping to refine my pores. Nine Wishes The Mattic Clear Toner contains LHA, which gives it both exfoliating and sebum-control benefits, making it perfect for sensitive and oily skin types. The formula flows like water, but when I applied it with a cotton pad, it perfectly balanced my skin's moisture and oil levels right after cleansing. After just one application of this toner, my dryness completely disappeared, and I was absolutely thrilled! Even though it has a lightweight, flowing texture like water, it doesn't feel like a plain water toner. Instead, it has a subtle richness to it that I really appreciated. I can't believe my skin became this hydrated with just a toner. By using this toner to create a hydrated base and refine my pores, my subsequent skincare steps feel so much gentler on my skin without any irritation. I used to jump from toner to toner, but I'm so happy I finally found the one I was looking for! I usually use a toner followed by AMOREPACIFIC Bio Conditioning Essence, but Nine Wishes toner and AMOREPACIFIC Essence don't seem to work well together. My skin didn't look as good when I used them together. Other than this compatibility issue, the product is fine! A toner that tackles dryness

The alcohol scent is pretty strong right off the bat, and personally, I'm not a fan of that alcohol smell. I wish it were fragrance-free instead. Though I will say the alcohol scent does fade quickly. Another thing is that for winter use, it's way too watery. It doesn't leave lasting hydration on the skin, it just applies lightly and evaporates almost immediately. Since I have really severe acne-prone skin, please keep in mind that skincare alone can't always create dramatic results. For me, even just seeing those angry breakouts flatten out and disappear beneath the surface feels like a huge win! What I loved most was that the LHA ingredient provides gentle exfoliation without irritation. The texture and feel were different from what I expected, so my first impression was a bit uncertain. But here's the amazing part—my skin usually gets super reactive and inflamed with even the slightest mismatch, and this product caused zero irritation! It absorbed beautifully. That alone is totally worth being satisfied about. Since it's not harsh at all, I think it would work wonderfully for sensitive skin too. Looking at the photos I've attached below, the left photo was taken on the morning of February 9th before using the Nine Wishes toner. The right photo was taken on the evening of February 16th, exactly one week later. During that week, I kept my regular skincare routine exactly the same—I only swapped out the toner for the Nine Wishes product. If you look closely, those angry, raised breakouts have completely calmed down. Sure, there's still some redness in spots right after extraction, but especially on my chin where I had those textured breakouts, they've completely flattened and only left marks behind. I was doing other spot treatments too, but since the only new product in my routine was this toner, I'm really impressed with the results! What impressed me most was how gently it calmed those angry breakouts without any irritation. Since the toner tackles oil and dead skin cells at that step, the soothing effect was even better, and I think the rest of my skincare products absorbed more effectively too. If I really had to pick a downside... The texture is a bit slick and slippery. It's not a completely watery toner! So I was worried it might not absorb well into my skin, but honestly, it worked better than expected. There is a slight alcohol scent, but it's not bothersome at all. I used it as an absorbing toner rather than an exfoliating toner. Since this is a chemical exfoliant that removes dead skin cells, I figured I didn't need to physically scrub with a pad on top of that. My conclusion is that whether you use it as an absorbing toner or an exfoliating toner, it's a great product either way.
