It's become my go-to product in my daily routine! I honestly couldn't find anything to complain about. It feels so moisturizing and works perfectly as the next step right after my toner.

When my skin is feeling sensitive or reactive, this product can cause a slight stinging sensation, though it doesn't trigger breakouts. I really love how gentle and reliable this is, plus it feels so hydrating! The texture is rich, but the finish is surprisingly fresh and clean. The moisture doesn't seem to last as long as I expected. I feel like I'll need to layer it with a cream afterward to really lock in that hydration. The formula has a richer texture, but it absorbs beautifully without any sticky residue. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone dealing with dry skin, flakiness, or that rough, parched feeling. This works wonderfully as a makeup primer. Once you apply it and do your makeup, your foundation glides on beautifully with absolutely no pilling or patchy spots. That said, using it alone can feel a bit dry on the skin. If you apply it over any cuts or irritated areas, there's a slight stinging sensation. The Houttuynia Cordata essence worked so well for me that I decided to try this product too. I'm not sure if the Hinoki water just doesn't agree with my skin or what the issue is, but after applying it, my face felt congested and bumpy texture started appearing. I was so surprised that I washed it off right away, but the next day I had a big breakout that doesn't usually happen. I tested it on just half my neck and the same bumpy texture appeared there too. I'm not entirely sure what's causing it, but if you apply an essence or ampoule and feel that congestion with a warming sensation, there might be other sensitive skin types like me who experience a reaction. For those people, I'd recommend going with the Houttuynia Cordata ampoule instead. This seems like it would work well for dry skin, and it does feel more refreshing than the Houttuynia Cordata when applied, which could be a plus. This is my second time purchasing the Houttuynia Cordata, and I also picked up the Hinoki water. The amount feels a bit small for the price, so it does feel expensive, but I'm planning to stick with this brand's Houttuynia Cordata ampoule. It's a shame there's no sample available to try beforehand. Most hydrating ampoules are typically hyaluronic acid-based, but this one has a different ingredient profile. It doesn't have that slippery, sticky feeling at all. It glides on smoothly and absorbs quickly. Once fully absorbed, your skin feels plump and dewy from within rather than having that shiny surface look. I really appreciate that there's no heavy residue or that suffocating feeling that usually bothers me. I've even tried layering it twice, and it applies beautifully without any sticky buildup. No irritation, stinging, or breakouts. Perfect for summer use. The hydration doesn't last throughout the entire day. You really notice this when you apply it before bed. Your skin feels nicely moisturized as you're falling asleep, but by morning, all that hydration seems to have evaporated. I'm currently experimenting with additional steps in my routine to better lock in moisture and prevent water loss.

You really need to offer a larger size! The price feels steep for the amount you get, and honestly the quantity is way too small.
