You know, back when the streets were lined with countless makeup shops instead of being dominated by big beauty chains, one of my absolute go-to products was Apieu's Juicy-Pang Water Blush. So imagine my excitement when I heard that Apieu was collaborating with Daiso to launch a Water Cheek! I mean, I just had to get it, right? Of course I did. Apieu's The Purer Candy Water Cheek came out in three gorgeous shades, and I went ahead and picked up all of them to test them out for you: 01 Happy Peach - A pink peach that brings out your natural flush 02 Guava Vibes - An apricot beige that sets the mood just right 03 Dreamy Coral - A bright coral that adds instant radiance The Purer Candy Water Cheek is exactly what you need if your complexion is looking a bit dull. It glides on naturally, giving your skin that fresh, dewy glow with a watery texture that actually lasts. I was such a devoted fan of Apieu's original Juicy-Pang Water Blush that I basically went through multiple bottles, so I already knew the brand had mastered the water-based blush formula. But honestly, this new Water Cheek is just as amazing. I'm genuinely impressed with everything about it - the formula, the color payoff, how it feels on the skin, how long the moisture lasts, and the overall effect on your complexion. If I really had to nitpick, I noticed on the Daiso website that they're marketing shade 1 for cool undertones, shade 2 for neutral undertones, and shade 3 for warm undertones. But based on my actual experience using them, I'd say shade 1 works better for neutral undertones, while shades 2 and 3 are definitely more suited for warm undertones. Shade 3 has such a sunny, warm feeling to it that it's really best for people with warm undertones!

It's a nicely saturated, beautiful orange-coral shade that hits just right. It has more of an autumn soft vibe than a light tone feel. Compared to the same brand's juice-packed water blush, this one has a bit more texture and body to the formula, so it doesn't disappear or clump even when applied over a semi-matte base. I love how I can just tap it on with my fingertip and it blends beautifully. The staying power is pretty impressive too. With a setting spray, it easily lasts a solid 5 hours. I also tried the Hand & Park color balm from the same store, and while the color, packaging, and shine are all gorgeous, the balm formula doesn't hold up as well on oily skin. But this one has that perfect amount of glow while lasting way longer, so I'm really happy with it. Honestly, I like it even more than the juice-packed water blush! I'm definitely planning to buy other shades. I'd give it a 100 percent repurchase rating. No complaints whatsoever. I'm completely satisfied. This brand really proves why it's the go-to budget-friendly choice. A-Pieu at Daiso is absolutely crushing it.
