This shampoo has completely changed my hair care routine! It's gentle and lightweight, yet it cleanses really effectively. The subtle cooling sensation is absolutely perfect for my oily scalp. My only wish is that it came in a larger size. The lather is incredibly rich and luxurious, leaving my hair feeling wonderfully soft and silky. Even though the formula is quite lightweight, the pointed dispenser makes it easy to control exactly how much product I use. I'm not sure how effective the deep cleansing really is. My scalp gets oily faster compared to other scalp shampoos I've tried.

The lather builds nicely and it's surprisingly convenient to work through your hair. - Scent: It has a subtle bubble or foam-like fragrance, so it's basically unscented. If you're hoping for a pleasant smell after washing, this isn't for you. Sometimes when my hair is drying, I notice an oily smell or something like dog food scent. - Cleansing power: It lathers well and rinses out easily, which is convenient, but the cleansing strength is a bit weak. My roots get greasy pretty quickly, even when I do a pre-wash followed by a full shampoo. I'm alternating this with another shampoo I really like. After using it, my hair doesn't feel dry or rough, just normal. - Would I repurchase: No The cleansing power is disappointing because my roots get oily too fast. I bought this based on recommendations and I'm really happy with it. This water shampoo absorbs beautifully into my scalp and creates a nice lather. I sometimes deal with an itchy scalp, but this shampoo really helps calm it down. The water shampoo is great, but it's hard to tell how much I'm actually using since it's a spray format. Plus, the price point is a bit steep for my budget. When you shampoo, give your scalp a gentle massage and don't rinse it out right away. Let it sit for about a minute before rinsing thoroughly.

I discovered this product through an Instagram ad and have been using the O2 Scalp Ampoule for quite some time. I loved the Alive Lab scalp ampoule so much that I decided to try their shampoo too. I wasn't expecting miracles from a scalp cleansing shampoo, but I figured since it's from the same product line, it would be worth a shot! I've been using it for about six months now. Pros: 1. An unexpectedly amazing cooling sensation Your scalp genuinely feels refreshed and cool. Unlike other menthol-based or cooling shampoos that give you that intense, sharp cooling effect (which I do enjoy), this one feels like you're washing your hair with cool water - that natural, temperature-drop kind of freshness! It's partly due to the ingredients, but honestly, the formula itself is the real star here. Since it's a liquid shampoo, it's naturally cooler than your body temperature. Combined with the scalp ampoule that also helps lower the temperature, you get this wonderful cooling comfort from both the formula and the active ingredients. 2. Seriously impressive lather Contrary to what you might expect from a gentle water-based shampoo, this produces an incredible amount of foam. Compared to other brands, it's genuinely abundant. Even when I haven't washed my hair for about four days and usually get minimal lather, this shampoo still produces maximum foam from the very first wash. It's honestly wild. 3. Gentle cleansing without the dryness I usually avoid overly gentle shampoos because my scalp gets sticky, but this one strikes the perfect balance. It cleanses your scalp while maintaining moisture, so nothing feels heavy or uncomfortable. The cleansing process is smooth and effortless. Even though I follow up with a scalp tonic or ampoule afterward, this shampoo alone is genuinely impressive. 4. Incredibly convenient to use Most shampoo bottles require you to unscrew the cap, but this one doesn't. You simply twist the dispenser - that's it! I initially didn't realize this and tried pulling out the nozzle, which actually came out pretty easily, which was a bit confusing. But once I figured it out, the twist mechanism is so much more convenient. 5. The bottle lasts surprisingly long I don't use it every single day since it's a scalp-specific shampoo, but I'm still not through the bottle. If you use it daily, you might go through it faster, but the quantity is honestly generous. The price point is a concern. Even with occasional discounts, it's barely discounted at all. Alive Lab doesn't typically run many promotions, so you're essentially paying full price most of the time. While the twist-cap design is a great feature, I wish the brand had promoted this unique packaging more prominently. The packaging is quite different from traditional shampoo bottles, and I only learned about this distinctive design after reading reviews. I trusted this line so much that I decided to buy the shampoo too. I just used it for the first time and it feels exactly the same as the ampoule from this line. The shampoo lathers really well. I've been using the ampoule for a year, then stopped for a while, but picked it up again because of scalp flaking. The shampoo bottle has such a unique design - it looks like a giant ampoule. There's a small cover on top that you twist slightly to open and dispense the product. You're supposed to spray it directly onto your scalp, so I sprayed it and massaged it in a bit, and it creates a nice lather. Two sprays seem to be enough. I think I used more on my first try since I wasn't sure about the amount. After rinsing with water, it doesn't feel slippery at all - just refreshing and lovely. The upside-down spray application feels a bit awkward. The instructions for using the cap aren't clearly explained on the website either. For the price, the amount of product seems quite small. At 28,000 won for this quantity... I'm worried it might be hard to use if it were any bigger. I wish they'd either lower the price or offer refill options. 1. Thoroughly wet your hair from root to tip for about a minute. 2. Twist the clear cap upward to open it. Flip the bottle and pump it directly onto your scalp two or three times. 3. Using your fingertips rather than your nails, massage your scalp while working the shampoo into a lather. 4. Make sure the lather covers your entire scalp evenly, then rinse thoroughly with water until no residue remains. 5. Squeeze out excess water with your hands and gently pat your hair dry with a towel. The shampooing method is the same for all shampoos except for step 2. Updated September 2022: After using half the bottle, I switched to another shampoo because I wanted a change, but I came back to this one. Since it's specifically a scalp shampoo, using it occasionally seems to work better. When I travel or use it once a week with a scalp massage, leaving the lather on for 30 seconds really does remove buildup effectively. Shampoos labeled as scalp treatments need longer contact time compared to regular shampoos.
