The scent has a subtle sweet pumpkin note that I think most people won't find off-putting. What I Love: Most exfoliating gels I've used before required me to completely dry my skin after cleansing. What's amazing about this product is that I can use it right after washing my face while my skin is still slightly damp. The formula is incredibly gentle, and the fine granules aren't harsh at all, so my skin feels less irritated. When I massage it in, the exfoliation works really well. After using it, my skin looks radiant, feels incredibly smooth and soft—I'm absolutely satisfied with this product. I've officially settled on this as my go-to exfoliating gel. What Could Be Better: While the formula is smooth and the granules aren't rough, I did notice a slight stinging sensation when applying it to areas with active breakouts or post-extraction marks. I'd recommend using this after your skin has fully healed or simply avoiding those sensitive areas during application. Personally, I find that cleansing with lukewarm or cool water followed by the exfoliating gel works okay, but I get noticeably better results when I cleanse with gently warm water first to open up my pores, then apply the gel. I have sensitive, redness-prone skin that's easily irritated. I'm particularly reactive to oils, heavy textures, strong vitamin formulas, and alcohol-based ingredients. Pores used to be a concern, but as I've gotten older, my skin naturally produces less oil and things have improved on their own. Sunscreen tends to trigger breakouts on my skin, so I'm always on the hunt for hypoallergenic options. So far, the blue Hera sunscreen that just came out seems to work best for me! When I use Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent lip products, my lips get irritated and flaky. Even the Nuxe natural honey lip balm causes the same reaction. Honestly, Bepanthen lip balm is the only one that works perfectly for me. It's my absolute go-to! For hair care, I prefer a clean, squeaky-smooth finish over heavy moisturizing formulas. I'm more into hair essences than rinses or conditioners. This product is affordable and doesn't cause any irritation, so I keep using it regularly. My mom absolutely loves it too!
