For a lip balm, the color payoff is absolutely amazing! I love that it has a firm formula since most lip balms tend to melt in the summer heat. Even with just one swipe, the color comes out so vibrant and true that I find myself reaching for it constantly. The color is absolutely gorgeous and so moisturizing. I tested this at the store before buying, and when I actually applied it to my lips, the color came out even more vibrant and beautiful than I expected. I originally bought it as a light lip balm, but the color payoff is so good that I've stopped wearing tint separately and just use this product alone. My lips tend to be dry, but this keeps them incredibly hydrated, which I love. There's no weird smell either, and I'm so happy with it that I'm planning to pick up the peach shade next time. The one downside is that it has more of a lip balm texture, so if I apply it a bit thicker on my upper lip, it tends to shift slightly and bunch up along my lip line. It stays darker along the edge while the inner part gets lighter, which looks a little odd when I check the mirror. It's a cool-toned shade, but the color itself is really pretty. Classic red through and through. It wipes off easily right after application, but I do notice some staining builds up over time. 1. The shine is barely there from the start, and it completely disappears after just a little while 2. Even though this is marketed as a lip balm tint, the moisturizing power and dewy finish are practically nonexistent 3. I know it's winter right now so that makes it worse, and I do have naturally dry lips, but this product takes the dryness to another level. After I apply it, flakes appear out of nowhere and my lips feel even more parched. Why is this happening? 4. The formula just doesn't deliver on what it promises To be honest, if I'm judging this product on its own merits, it's not quite a one-star situation.
