Arensia is famous for their rice bran soaps. I tried their green version and loved it so much that I decided to purchase their Mucin line to test it out. After one use, I didn't notice a huge difference compared to the green one, but I have to say the texture is incredibly smooth, the lather is rich and luxurious, and it seems like just a little bit goes a long way for effective cleansing. The product performance is absolutely fantastic, so I really can't complain about the quality. I loved my first Rosehip cleansing bar so much that I decided to try something different and picked up the Rice Mucin Cleanser. I've already used more than half of it, but I have to be honest—I'm not seeing anything particularly special about it. My skin does feel hydrated after cleansing, though the Rosehip cleanser left my skin feeling noticeably more moisturized and luxurious. As for brightening my complexion, I really can't tell if it's making a difference. Don't get me wrong—it's not causing any breakouts, it's gentle on my skin, and my complexion feels calm and comfortable. But I just couldn't find a compelling reason to repurchase it, so I went back to buying the Rosehip. It's not so terrible that I'd throw it away, so I'm going to finish using this bottle. There are plenty of great cleansers out there, but if you're looking for something that's gentle and won't irritate dry skin, this one is definitely worth trying at least once. Like most cream cleansers, this one requires you to scoop it out with a spoon, which is a bit inconvenient. Since it has a rich, creamy texture, the cleansing power isn't as strong as I'd hoped. Then gently massage and roll it across your skin as you emulsify it. I chose this product based on the ingredients. I use it as my second cleanse, following a cleansing water and a gentle cleanser, then finishing with a cleansing soap. The best part is that the gentle formula hasn't caused any breakouts or irritation on my skin. When you wash your face, water inevitably gets into the product, which isn't ideal since this formula shouldn't come into contact with water. I found this inconvenient, and I think it would be better if this formula came in a tube format instead. Compared to other cleansers from Arensia, this product doesn't have exfoliating particles, which seems to be its defining feature. However, while it's gentle on the skin, I didn't notice any improvement in reducing blackheads or whiteheads. You only need a small amount to get a thorough cleanse! I've been using this as a second cleanse after my cleansing oil every evening since late March. I have dry skin, and whenever the seasons change, I always struggle with flaking and dryness. I think it's because of the rice extract—my face actually looks brighter right after cleansing, even if it's just for a moment. I'm recommending this to everyone around me. It's great overall, but I'll admit that having to scoop it out each time is a bit inconvenient. That said, the product itself is so good that this minor hassle is totally worth it. I sometimes apply it like a mask while I'm showering, leave it on for a bit, and then rinse it off.
