I have combination skin in the warm undertone family, around shades 19-21+. Since the weather's getting cooler, I decided to try out Giorgio Armani's hydrating cushion foundation. First impression? The packaging and design are absolutely gorgeous and luxurious-looking, so I was thrilled right away! When I first opened it, I'll admit I was a bit disappointed because it looked quite yellow in the compact. But the moment I applied it to my face, it transformed into this beautiful ivory tone—so cool! I didn't expect much coverage from a hydrating cushion, but it actually provided decent coverage for what it is. Plus, for a hydrating formula, the wear time is impressive and there's no darkening throughout the day. Best of all, touch-ups are super easy! The case is pretty, but if you want to buy a replacement case separately, the price is honestly shocking. Typical department store cushions—half the cost goes toward the case! Since I have combination skin, I do notice excess oil building up as the day goes on. If you have oily skin, I'd personally recommend passing on this one. Pro tip: Apply a matte sunscreen first and let it absorb for at least 5 minutes before applying the cushion. This makes your skin look more refined and gives a more luxurious finish. I'd skip this cushion if you're using a hydrating or oil-rich sunscreen underneath.
