Dry skin friendly and smells wonderful, though the absorption is just okay The area where I applied the oil became really itchy. If you look at my review history, you'll notice that as I went through pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood, my reviews gradually stopped including photos. But the fact that I'm posting photos with this oil review? That tells you everything you need to know about how much I genuinely love it. 1. I'm usually a pump dispenser person when it comes to oils. The reason is that oil gets all over the container, making it slippery and easy to drop. So when I saw this came in a glass bottle without a pump? I was honestly turned off from the start. But here's the thing—I've dropped this bottle multiple times, and I thought it would shatter into pieces. But guess what? It's totally fine. Sure, the bottom has some minor cracks, but it works perfectly with no issues whatsoever. 2. The moisturizing power is seriously impressive—way better than I expected. 3. The scent doesn't give me a headache and actually feels really relaxing. 4. It's lighter than I thought it would be. It's a shame it doesn't come with a pump dispenser. The moisturizing could be a bit stronger. I've found that applying an emulsion and oil separately works better than mixing them together. Skin Type: Extremely dry / Particularly flaky during winter Usage Duration: Several years Product Used: Aromatica Seren Body Oil Lavender & Marjoram Since my skin is extremely dry, moisturizers alone always left my skin feeling tight and looking ashy, so I decided to try an oil product. When I apply it right after showering while my skin is still slightly damp, it absorbs beautifully and my skin feels instantly soft without any stickiness. The subtle herbal scent is soothing rather than overwhelming, and applying it before bed helps me sleep better because the calming aroma is so relaxing. Using it consistently has reduced the flakiness on my legs, and my skin stays hydrated throughout the day, so now I reach for this more often than my regular moisturizer. Since it's a lightweight oil, I'm definitely planning to repurchase it again once winter comes around. The scent fades a bit quickly, which is slightly disappointing. I'd definitely recommend this as an all-season body oil. The glass bottle does make me a bit nervous since it can be slippery in the shower, and I worry about dropping it on the bathroom floor. The opening is quite narrow, which makes it tricky to control how much product comes out, and it tends to drip around the edges. This sometimes leaves the bathroom floor a little slick, which is something to keep in mind. For the smoothest absorption, apply the oil while your skin is still slightly damp from the shower.
