My grandmother absolutely loves this emulsion, so she bought it for me to try. I have to say, the scent is wonderful—it's not overpowering at all and has that signature Aveda-like quality to it. As for the texture, it's definitely an emulsion, but I notice it leans more toward the oily side rather than hydrating. It doesn't feel heavy at all; it's actually quite lightweight. What's interesting is that it doesn't absorb as quickly as a water-based emulsion would. Instead, there's this subtle, thin layer of oil that sits on the surface. Given the premium price point, I had high expectations, but honestly, it's just an emulsion. A nice-smelling emulsion, sure, but nothing more. In terms of actual performance—like delivering serious hydration—it doesn't justify the cost. Lightweight and refreshing formula. I have combination-to-dry skin, but it shifts to combination skin in summer. Honestly, this is so easy to use that I can wear it all year round without any hassle. It's absolutely perfect for guys too. It comes in two sizes, and I recommend getting the larger 500ml bottle and using it on your body as well. If you have really sensitive skin and want a clean product without harsh chemicals, you absolutely have to try this. I can't really think of any downsides. Maybe slightly less hydrating in winter, but that's about it. I have dry skin, and when I mix this emulsion with Aveda oil, my face doesn't feel tight or uncomfortable at all There aren't any major drawbacks, except the price is quite steep. It works wonderfully for sensitive skin too I mix it with Aveda oil. This emulsion is perfect for oily skin and the makeup application is fantastic. When I use this, my makeup looks absolutely flawless and stays put all day! This is my go-to product that I always repurchase. Whenever I switch to something else and my skin doesn't react well, or when I want a lightweight finish, I reach for this. Just applying this one product alone was totally sufficient for me during the summer! I couldn't avoid the greasy feeling it leaves behind. The hydration level is just right, and overall it's great. I'd definitely recommend it. As someone with oily skin, I found it a bit too heavy and greasy for my needs, which was disappointing. That said, I think this emulsion would be perfect for anyone with dry skin.
