I picked this up at duty-free a few months ago with leftover currency, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The scent just isn't my vibe, and the formula requires me to apply it to my hair and then immediately wash my hands, so I ended up not using it much. I'm really happy with other Aveda products though! Still, using something is better than nothing, right? For the price, this one didn't quite live up to my expectations. The fragrance is pretty polarizing, and since the formula leaves a bit of residue on your hands, you'll want to use it sparingly. I've been using Daisy Repair consistently for 10 years. I switched to it because I heard the Bond Repair formula works faster and more effectively to improve split ends and restore the hair cuticle layer. It definitely keeps my hair bouncy and smooth even after heat styling. With the previous damage repair product, there was some softness, but I'm not sure if it was enough. The botanical version isn't as soft. When I asked about it, they said it's because of the bond repair complex ingredients. I use color treatments, heat styling, and flat irons regularly. There's no visible damage whether I check it myself or with professional measurement tools, and I can maintain it easily at home with a simple routine. Make sure to use the sky-blue oil together with this product. Also, it's an absolute must-have overnight treatment.

I've been consistently using Aveda shampoo and conditioner, and I recently switched from their Damage Remedy line to the Botanical Repair line for the first time. Personally, I prefer the herbal scent profile of this product compared to the Damage Remedy line. The formula is quite similar though. It has that lightweight, serum-like emulsion feel, if you know what I mean? The texture sits somewhere between a serum and an emulsion, so it spreads evenly across your hair and absorbs beautifully into your strands. With just the right amount of nourishment, it absorbs cleanly and lightly without any heaviness. It's a reliable, no-fuss product that really delivers! It's a solid, dependable product overall, but since my hair has been through repeated bleaching and coloring, it's quite damaged. I found that the nourishment and moisture levels felt a bit insufficient for my hair's needs. To protect your hair from heat damage that occurs during the blow-drying process, apply this to damp hair before you dry it. And if you have damaged hair like mine or very dry ends, try applying a little bit more after blow-drying. It really helps prevent tangles and keeps everything looking great!

I can tell I'll use every last drop! While the results aren't as dramatically transformative as a sheet mask, my hair looks noticeably smoother, shinier, and most importantly, healthier overall. If you want more dramatic results, pairing it with a sheet mask is the way to go. The scent is really special too—it combines Aveda's signature herbal essence with subtle botanical notes that feel luxuriously sophisticated. There's really nothing to complain about. I also appreciate how easy the cap is to open.
