The product adheres beautifully to the skin, and once you remove it, there's this wonderful feeling of moisture being replenished. For inflamed breakouts or small bumps, the rich formula might be too much and could backfire. However, for redness, texture issues, and that uncomfortable heat sensation on hot days, it calms everything down so quickly! I wouldn't recommend this if your skin barrier is compromised or you're dealing with breakouts caused by excess oil. Unfortunately, it triggered new breakouts for me. It's fantastic during dry periods and perfect as a preventative when your skin gets sensitive in summer or before sensitivity kicks in!

I have combination skin with dry patches underneath, and this product was just fine for my needs. When I applied the sheet mask, it didn't really calm or soothe my skin the way I hoped. Honestly, it felt like it made barely any difference whether I used it or not. I bought this to calm and soothe my skin after treating severe pustular acne. Aesop offers two versions of their Houttuynia Cordata treatment - the weakly acidic essence and the patch stickers. I noticed the stickers specifically mention oil control, so I decided to try those. They really seem to work! After using them for two days in a row, I can actually see my breakouts calming down and improving. I don't have any complaints about the product itself, but I wish it went on sale more often.
