This is my third bottle... My skin tends to be on the dry side, so I've tried all the famous products out there, but nothing compares to this one. It's so good that it even converted my mom, who used to swear by expensive department store skincare. Like all Aesop droppers, this one separates easily. You just need to be gentle when using it. This hydrating treatment is wonderfully lightweight without feeling oily. The carrot extract may give it a slightly yellow appearance when you first apply it, but honestly, that's not really a concern. What's great is that over time, it actually strengthens hydration on sensitive areas like reddened cheeks without causing any irritation. Since Aesop's cream formulas don't contain emulsifiers, they can sometimes turn white and pill when you rub them in—more so than other creams. But when you use this product alongside it, that white cast becomes much less noticeable.

I have very dry skin. I usually get through all four seasons with Physiogel, but this winter was exceptionally dry, so I decided to give this a try. I really loved how it doesn't feel sticky and absorbs into my face smoothly while still feeling substantial and nourishing. The scent is wonderful too! The amount is too small. I used to avoid face oils because they'd leave my skin red and itchy, but this one is completely different. After getting a peel, my skin became really dehydrated with flaking and sensitivity issues, so I consulted with an Aesop associate and got this product recommended along with the Parsley Seed serum. At first, I mixed this oil with the Parsley Seed serum, but recently I've started blending it with the Lucent serum instead. When I apply it at night before bed, my complexion looks so much brighter, the dehydration clears up, and remarkably, my usually super-sensitive skin has had zero reactions. The price is the real issue. This oil costs $80 for just 25ml even in Australia, which is pretty steep. It's so expensive that I don't think I'll be repurchasing it. I applied a generous amount before bed and woke up with the most incredibly soft, baby-smooth skin. I literally had to wake up my whole family just to feel how amazing my skin became! Everyone was blown away. This is such a game-changer that I honestly don't think I'll ever need a dermatologist visit again. This is my holy grail product and I'm planning to use it for life. You absolutely have to get this! Just a heads up - the product is a yellow oil-based formula, so be careful not to get it on your clothes! The best way to use this is to apply it before bed on nights when your skin is feeling extra dry or stressed. True to Aesop's reputation, I'm always shocked by the price tag on such a tiny bottle every time I check it.
